Chapter Ninety-Two: The Deal (Part Two)

After leaving, Fang Mu chose to walk instead of taking the hovercar, and before long, he found his target. It was a moving company, with the company’s communication code displayed. Fang Mu noted down the code and dialed the number using “Yang Lin’s communicator.” Soon, through the glass, he saw the front desk phone ringing, and a woman answered.
“Hello, this is IKEA Moving Company. How may I assist you?” the woman’s voice came through the communicator.
“I want to hire someone…” Fang Mu began.
The conversation lasted about a minute before they ended the call. Soon after, a message arrived; Fang Mu glanced at it—it contained a communication code and an account number. Using “Yang Lin’s phone,” he transferred one thousand yuan and then made a call.
“Hello, boss,” a man’s voice answered.
“You received the money, right?” Fang Mu asked calmly.
“Yes, I got it. Where should I go?” the voice on the other end replied politely.
“Go to the warehouse area north of Confidence Plaza. I’ll give you more details later,” Fang Mu said evenly.
“Alright, got it,” the man responded quickly.
Ending the call, Fang Mu turned and headed toward the warehouse district. About half an hour later, he arrived there. During the day, the warehouse area was bustling, with numerous large trucks coming and going. Many warehouse doors were open, and several Evolvers were conducting business directly on site.
Wearing camouflage, Fang Mu was inconspicuous. He found a good spot and dialed the number from IKEA’s message.
“Boss,” a noisy background came from the phone.
“Have you arrived?” Fang Mu asked.
“Yes, yes, but which warehouse exactly?” the man asked.
“Warehouse DX407. Wait at the entrance. I’ll call you,” Fang Mu instructed.
“Okay, okay,” came the reply.
Hanging up, Fang Mu watched. Soon, a middle-aged man appeared at the entrance of DX407 and began waiting there. Only then did Fang Mu exhale softly and dial the third black market dealer’s communicator.
“Hello.”
“Warehouse district north of Information Plaza, DX407. My man is waiting for you there.”
A brief pause. “Got it. I’ll be there in half an hour.”
“Mm.”

After ending the call, Fang Mu waited again. About half an hour later, a heavy-duty truck with a 4x8 axle configuration stopped below the DX warehouse area. Six or seven people got off and proceeded upward.
Fang Mu had a thought and sent out a pre-edited message.
“Don’t say much. Ask if they’re from ‘Dark Fox.’ If yes, open the warehouse door. The warehouse password is…”
The middle-aged man at the door glanced around, then checked his communicator. He paused slightly, then studied it carefully.
The people who had just gotten off the truck approached him and greeted him. The middle-aged man hesitated briefly, showing some confusion on his face, but then asked something. After nodding, the others, the middle-aged man went to the side and opened the warehouse door.
Once opened, a strong stench of blood surged out. The middle-aged man appeared startled, covering his nose. Upon seeing the contents inside, he looked somewhat surprised.
The others showed no sign of surprise and walked inside.
Fang Mu couldn’t see what they were doing inside but waited patiently. Soon, the communicator vibrated. It was the third black market dealer.
“Have you checked the goods?” Fang Mu asked directly.
“Yes, they’re indeed fresh. But the fur was severely burned, which greatly affected the meat quality, so the price may be lower.”
“Make your offer.”
“Hmm… there’s a lot. I won’t exaggerate. A flat price: 120,000 each.”
Fang Mu paused briefly, then replied calmly, “The market price is 200,000 each. Although the meat quality is somewhat affected, dropping by 80,000 at once seems too low, right?”
There was a slight pause, then: “So, what price do you suggest?”
“I won’t say 200,000 either. How about 180,000 each? A 20,000 loss per head is already quite good.”
“That’s impossible. The fire burned all the fur. Although serrated hyena fur isn’t very valuable, it still holds some worth. 180,000 is out of the question.”
“Then what price do you suggest?”
After some thought: “Given the quantity, I’ll consider it a friendship gesture—130,000.”
“No, that’s too low…”
Fang Mu and the dealer bargained over the phone.
After about ten minutes, they finally agreed—150,000 each.
“Alright, I’ll give you the account number.”
“Good. If you have more good stuff like this, contact me anytime.”
“Of course. Pleasure doing business.”
“Pleasure.”
Fang Mu sent Yang Lin’s bank account and soon the communicator vibrated. Looking down, a faint smile appeared on his face.

“Dear Mr. Yang Lin: Your card ending in 6399 received 3,900,000 Star Coins on November 19 at 11:26. Account balance: 4,299,000. [Feiluo People’s Bank]”
Nearly four million in hand!
Exhaling softly, Fang Mu quickly sent out a message. At the warehouse entrance, the middle-aged man received the message, glanced down, gave a slight bow to those beginning to move the serrated hyena carcasses, then left.
His task was complete.
Fang Mu watched from afar as the “Dark Fox” black market dealer’s men—appearing to be Evolvers—carried the serrated hyena carcasses two by two.
Throughout, Fang Mu observed the reactions of those around.
Though some showed surprise, most reacted calmly, with barely any attention. He exhaled softly.
It seemed that delivering the serrated hyenas directly to the warehouse was the right choice. No one knew how many had been stored at once, so it wasn’t too shocking. Perhaps they had been accumulated over many days?
If so many serrated hyena carcasses were dragged into the city, it would have caused a sensation… unless it was a legion operation with many people.
About half an hour later, the loading finished, and the heavy truck left. It looked like it was just carrying ordinary cargo, and no one paid special attention.
Fang Mu breathed a sigh of relief, then thought for a moment and made another call.
“Hello, this is Lisheng Moving Company. How may I help you?”
“I want to hire someone…” Fang Mu began as he walked away.
He had switched to a different moving company…
…
Night fell.
Looking at the communicator’s information, Fang Mu smiled faintly.
“Dear Mr. Yang Lin: Your card ending in 6399 received 2,850,000 Star Coins on November 19 at 21:47. Account balance: 10,599,000. [Feiluo People’s Bank]”
Over ten million!
Selling sixty-eight serrated hyenas pushed his balance beyond eight figures!
Fang Mu took a deep breath.
In the past three days, he had handled the carcasses of sixty-eight serrated hyenas.
But those three days were just laying the groundwork!
Now that the path was clear, the next steps would be much simpler!
“Hm, this kind of avatar is quite useful. Let him prepare a few more backup identities—there will surely be uses…”
Mulling this over, Fang Mu gradually disappeared into the distance, heading toward his rented apartment…
