Although spatial armaments cannot directly provide combat power, their assistance in other aspects is immense. One must understand that traversing the battlefield is an extremely perilous endeavor. Aside from the dangers posed by the monsters lurking there, food and water can be critical—even fatal—issues.

Not every part of the battlefield is blessed with ample food and water. In fact, valleys as picturesque and bountiful as the one Fang Mu found himself in today are exceedingly rare. Most regions are plains, deserts, wastelands, or swamps...

In such places, water sources are scarce, almost impossibly so. And even if one finds water, drinking it carelessly could mean death; it might harbor deadly bacteria or viruses—ones that boiling may not kill.

While most monster meat is edible, the creatures roaming the battlefield are far from easy prey. Each is a terrifying, formidable existence! Relying solely on hunting for sustenance would cost immense energy, time, and resources—perhaps even one’s life.

Fang Mu had witnessed large teams venture into certain areas to hunt higher-tier battlefield creatures. The effort spent merely carrying and transporting water and food was considerable.

And that’s only food and water. What about firearms and ammunition?

Conventional weapons lose effectiveness against battlefield monsters of bronze tier and above, but that’s only in one-on-one situations. If firepower is sufficient—say, a hundred heavy machine guns firing simultaneously—then even silver-tier creatures might be reduced to pulp in moments.

Often, those large teams must first clear out numerous low-level battlefield creatures before targeting the high-tier ones. In such cases, firepower coverage is absolutely necessary, and the prerequisite for such coverage is having enough ammunition.

But therein lies the difficulty. A single box of bullets weighs dozens of kilograms, and a heavy machine gun can exhaust it in a minute or two. Achieving sustained firepower coverage may require ammunition measured by the ton!

As the old saying goes: “Before the army moves, logistics must be secured.” This holds true even in today’s evolutionary battlefields. Sometimes, when attacking especially powerful monsters, teams must assemble temporary logistics units solely to ensure food and ammunition for the assault teams.

Imagine the complexity of such operations.

But once spatial armaments are possessed, everything changes. Carrying supplies becomes effortless—whatever fits inside the storage space becomes weightless in reality. There’s no need to worry about food preservation; within the storage space, everything remains exactly as it was put in, no matter how much time passes.

Weapons, ammunition, water, food, even harvested monster blood, flesh, and genetic meat—all can be stored within. Each foray onto the battlefield becomes a light, unburdened expedition. Whenever something is needed, it can be summoned instantly, as if carrying a logistics corps with you.

Such convenience! What evolutionary warrior wouldn’t desire it?

Yet spatial armaments are exceedingly rare and precious. It is said their gene materials can only be found on ancient, colossal monsters of the primordial world!

Who would have thought it was spatial armament?

Fang Mu could no longer contain his smile, his mouth splitting wide in laughter. Spatial armament meant far more to him than any primal energy weapon...

...

He did not know how much time had passed before his excitement finally subsided. Calming himself, Fang Mu’s thoughts stirred.

“That’s right, let’s see what’s inside…”

He had been so overwhelmed after glimpsing the storage space that he hadn’t checked its contents yet. What treasures might lie within a superpowerful individual’s storage space? Even a single item could be priceless!

Fang Mu’s anticipation peaked.

But when he finally looked inside, he was stunned.

Then, disappointment washed over him.

“What? Only two chips…”

The vast space was empty except for two thumb-sized chips. Fang Mu felt truly let down—this spatial armament had come from that severed hand! He expected handfuls of gene materials, primal armaments, gene potions, and other valuables. Yet there were only two chips?

After a moment’s reflection, Fang Mu exhaled.

Actually, if he looked at it differently, the absence of everything he considered precious and the presence of only two chips meant these must be of utmost importance to the hand’s original owner—perhaps they were extraordinary after all.

This thought rekindled his spirits.

“But…how do I retrieve the contents?”

As he pondered, a flash occurred, and the two chips appeared in Fang Mu’s hand.

He stood in a daze for a while, then broke into a smile.

“So it only takes a thought… That’s good, very convenient.”

He smacked his lips and examined the two chips in his palm. They were pure white and crystalline, emitting a faint white glow, like crystal—clearly products of gene technology.

Fortunately, even his bargain-priced light-brain had a scanner.

“Well, let’s check the contents… Maybe the identity of the hand’s owner is recorded.”

He was intensely curious about the severed hand’s owner. He wanted to know—what kind of existence possessed such terrifying power that even a single severed hand could wield it?

Fang Mu was cautious; he disconnected his light-brain from the network.

He intended to keep all information about the hand’s owner confidential. The network seemed secure, but for those in power, nothing is truly secret. If connecting the memory chip triggered some unforeseen event and drew attention from those lurking in the shadows…

That would be a catastrophe of unimaginable proportions.

When weak, one must be cautious—this was the invaluable lesson Fang Mu had learned in three months on the One-Star Battlefield.

With the network disconnected, Fang Mu placed one chip into the light-brain’s scanning port. Instantly, a virtual screen popped up, beginning to read the chip.

Moments later, the screen went black. Then, in the corner, a few twinkling stars appeared.

These flickering stars grew in number, and gradually, lines of light connected them.

Slowly, a complex and unique pattern began to emerge.
