Chapter One Hundred Forty-Three
The soldiers before Zhou Yu were all furious when someone said, "Are you insulting us?"
Zhou Yu smiled and replied, "You? Insult? You're not even qualified for that yet."
"If you don’t make a move, I’ll start first."
With that, Zhou Yu took the initiative to strike.
This time, however, he did not use his own unique martial art but employed military combat boxing.
Relying on his long experience in battle and sharp crisis response, Zhou Yu handled himself with relative ease among the crowd.
Meanwhile, Liu Long and his group also began their fights.
Liu Long and Leng Yuhang finished quickly; after all, they were fighting one-on-one, and their hand-to-hand combat skills were superior to Wang Hao’s.
Rarely did they face opponents who could last more than three moves.
Next was Wang Hao, whose main expertise was marksmanship.
Still, his hand-to-hand skills couldn’t be too poor; otherwise, if an enemy spotted him, he wouldn’t be able to escape, let alone hold out until his teammates could come to his aid.
Before joining the Shura Squad, Wang Hao had always carried out missions alone.
Then came Zhou Yu.
After him were Liu Haishan and Zhao Yan, who ended slightly slower.
Liu Haishan, naturally, was a soldier king; his strength was evident. Moreover, after receiving guidance from Liu Long and others in recent days, his abilities had improved significantly.
Though Zhao Yan had also grown stronger, his stamina lagged far behind the others, so his progress was slower.
Only Wang Kui’s fight hadn’t concluded.
Wang Kui was previously a sniper and had far less endurance than Zhao Yan, let alone Zhou Yu and the others.
It was only after meeting Zhou Yu that he began practicing physical fitness and close combat, so naturally, he was behind the rest.
After waiting a while and noticing Wang Kui was still facing three opponents, Zhou Yu said, "Alright, there’s plenty of time later. Stop now."
"Wang Kui, your stamina and fighting skills still need work. Starting tomorrow, add ten more laps and extend combat training by an hour."
After stopping, Wang Kui nodded in acknowledgment.
Zhou Yu then addressed the soldiers from Qi City, asking, "Do you still think I’m insulting you?"
No one from Qi City responded.
Zhou Yu continued, "Tomorrow, we’ll have a rematch—not only in hand-to-hand combat and shooting but also in strategic command."
"Xiao Long, arrange their accommodations."
Then he went with Pan Yuxin to return to the villa.
At that moment, Peng Honghai ran up to Zhou Yu and said, "Xiao Yu, assign me an instructor too. I want to learn."
Zhou Yu grinned broadly and said, "Alright, think about what you want to learn. But hand-to-hand combat is mandatory."
Peng Honghai asked, "What kinds are there?"
Zhou Yu replied, "Xiao Long knows few but very refined hand-to-hand techniques, with understanding of many martial arts styles. He’s also proficient with all eighteen traditional weapons, with swordsmanship being his strongest skill."
"Xiao Hu practices the rigorous Xingyiquan style, nearly reaching the level of being impervious to blades and spears. He’s adept at various combat styles and uses them skillfully."
"Xiao Leng is an expert driver with incredible speed, skilled in various fighting techniques, but uniquely prefers stick-type weapons."
"Haozi is a master of firearms—he can hit any target with unerring accuracy."
"Xinxin excels at all communication devices and wields twin daggers with unmatched finesse."
"As for me, I know a bit of everything but master none—except for short sword and saber techniques, which I have thoroughly mastered."
After hearing this, Peng Honghai considered for a moment and said, "Then I’ll go with Xiao Leng. His style fits well with my special abilities."
Zhou Yu responded, "Good. Starting tomorrow, prepare yourself for hard work."
He then turned to the survivors and said, "You can also choose to join the army. But it will be tough. Think it over carefully and apply through Pan Yuxin tomorrow."
"The specific arrangements will be made tomorrow as well."
