Chapter 118: The Unity of Humanity

Inside the Daxia Embassy of the Sunset Kingdom.
“My respected Majesty, do you mean to say that if we do not assist you in stopping this deep-sea revival, humanity will face an unprecedented catastrophe?”
At a table sat five individuals.
Among them was Zasi Fei, the King of the Sunset Kingdom.
Though they were in the Sunset Kingdom, and facing its highest authority, the king himself, the other four showed no signs of deference. They sat at the table as equals, engaging in conversation with the king.
This was not out of disrespect, but because the other four were ambassadors representing the five great powers stationed in the Sunset Kingdom.
They represented the strongest civilizations of humanity today. Apart from basic formalities, they did not need to show special regard to the king of the Sunset Kingdom.
The person who had just spoken was the ambassador from the White Banner Nation. Due to their proximity, these two countries often had minor conflicts, so their relationship was not particularly amicable.
Faced with the somewhat disrespectful tone of the White Banner ambassador, Zasi Fei merely nodded calmly. “Exactly.”
“What evidence do you have?”
“I believe I may not need any evidence.”
Zasi Fei then looked toward a certain direction, where the representatives of the Lighthouse Nation and the Daxia Nation were seated.
These two countries were the pinnacle of the world, even among the five great powers, holding the highest status. When Zasi Fei looked at the representatives of these two, the entire room fell silent.
Seeing this, the Daxia representative smiled directly. “I trust His Majesty the King.”
There was no need for Zasi Fei to elaborate, as within Daxia existed a divine gift, the Book of Divine Words. This book was akin to a strategic guide, detailing precisely how humanity should respond to strange creatures.
Naturally, the deep-sea revival was described within its pages.
The Lighthouse Nation’s representative also nodded. “I trust as well.” He then revealed the watch on his left hand.
The next moment, the watch projected a holographic image.
The image depicted a turbulent sea, beneath which lay a mysterious energy sphere.
“Not long ago, our oceanic probes from Lighthouse Nation detected this mysterious energy beneath your territorial waters. This energy is undoubtedly harmful to humanity, its mass equivalent to sixty thousand S-class strange creatures.”
At this declaration, everyone present audibly gasped.
The White Banner representative was even more shocked, as White Banner was the only one among the five great powers that had never encountered an S-class entity, thus they remained ignorant of S-class beings.
Indeed, if an S-class appeared in White Banner, they might be forced to rely on their traditional skills.
The unknown often equates to fear, so White Banner greatly feared S-class strange creatures.

One S-class was terrifying enough—imagine sixty thousand. The horror was unimaginable.
The representative from the Northern Mao Nation was the most outspoken. “My dear Dvalari, now that you know the location, why waste words? Why not just fire a few ‘Mass Attenuation Bombs’ directly?”
Everyone: “……”
At this moment, the Daxia representative spoke again. “If that’s the case, we would definitely need to send our people to the Sunset Kingdom. Aren’t you afraid we might do something rash?”
Although all were human, their interests intertwined both openly and covertly, meaning they could never fully trust one another.
Yet Zasi Fei shook his head lightly and then scanned the room.
“Now, humanity faces a common enemy: the strange creatures.
This calamity concerns every person on this land. I believe that before matters of right and wrong, all of you understand what is more important, and what must or must not be done.”
To be honest, this was a personal plea from the King of the Sunset Kingdom, who had humbled himself without any royal pride.
Stopping the deep-sea revival was not only for the Sunset Kingdom but for all humanity.
All representatives nodded in agreement.
“This time, all of humanity will cooperate. There is nothing we cannot accomplish together!”
After a long moment, these representatives, through communication with their own countries, chose to collaborate with the Sunset Kingdom to organize efforts against the deep-sea revival.
“The deep-sea revival requires a chosen human as a key, so we only need to guard the location, wait for this ‘key’ to appear, and then eliminate her.”
He never mentioned that this “key” was his own daughter.
...
Three days later, Xiao Zi and her companions finally arrived at the coast of the Dolphin Nation.
The Dolphin Nation was also part of the Sunset cultural sphere, and among the many vassal states of the Sunset Kingdom, it was relatively weak.
Yet this country was the closest to the deep sea.
What was once a beautiful sea had now become a dumping ground, the entire expanse dark and polluted, littered with various debris and mutated fish that had long since adapted to the filth.
Xiao Zi watched as Lokaz stuffed her drawings into every crevice she could find, nodding in approval.
“A promising pupil!”
Just as Lokaz finished distributing all her drawings and was about to start anew, Xiao Zi stopped her.
“Is that really your goal?”

Lokaz was momentarily taken aback. “What do you mean?”
“With what you’re doing now, your art will at most be famous only within the Sunset Kingdom’s circle, never spreading beyond.”
“What else can I do?”
“Heh heh heh.” Xiao Zi chuckled strangely. “Have you felt a certain energy within your body?”
Lokaz had long been implanted with a demon seed by Xiao Zi.
Although Xiao Zi had yet to find the so-called loyal one, and the demon seed remained at Level 2, his own power had reached Rank B, and the demon seed’s energy had increased several levels. Now, the energy provided to Lokaz was at least comparable to that of a Rank D Spirit Handler.
With this energy, Lokaz could easily evade general Spirit Handlers’ detection.
And as long as she did not kill, Spirit Handlers typically would not pay her any mind.
Upon hearing Xiao Zi’s words, Lokaz nodded. “Yes, it’s a strong energy, but compared to you all, it’s nothing.”
Since Lokaz always mingled with Xiao Zi and the others, she was not very satisfied with her own power.
“I’m telling you, this strength will let you thrive in human society. As long as you don’t go too far, feel free to spread your art. No one will trouble you.
I’ll teach you how to use this energy to make money, then travel the world as an ordinary human, and...”
Xiao Zi finished with a raised eyebrow, as if to say: You get it, right?
Lokaz was quick to catch on and immediately gave Xiao Zi a thumbs-up. “Good idea.”
Then she ran off.
Watching Lokaz’s retreating figure, Wang Hui looked like a big bad wolf who had just let his sheep escape.
He hadn’t even managed to touch a finger of hers before the boss let her go.
Though unwilling to say it outright, he asked, “Are you really sure she’ll work for you quietly?”
Xiao Zi rolled her eyes. “Humans have a strong desire to share; she’s doing this for herself.”
In truth, it was nonsense—he had just learned her thoughts through the demon seed.
Then he looked toward the sea. “Are we too late? It looks quite lively over there.”
