What was going on? What on earth was happening? This was just the flap of a tent, not a wooden door, an iron door, or a security door—how could it possibly not open? It was simply inconceivable!

At that moment, the owner’s eyes were wide and round, terror gripping his heart to its very core. He pounded on the tent flap, shouting loudly, “Can anyone hear me? Hurry up and let me out!”

But before he could do much more, a cold hand brushed against his neck.

“What are you doing? Don’t be in such a hurry to leave,” a voice said.

He turned around and saw a pair of scarlet eyes.

“Ahhh!”

When the owner reappeared, he seemed a completely different person, his entire being exuding an aura of collapse. Teetering on the edge of a breakdown, he rushed onto the stage, grabbing the beast tamer by the collar.

“There’s a ghost! There’s a ghost here!”

The beast tamer was utterly bewildered by his outburst. “Boss, calm down! What ghost are you talking about?”

But the owner paid no attention, turning instead to the audience below.

“There’s a ghost in here! A ghost!”

The audience began murmuring among themselves, not understanding what was happening on stage. They all watched the owner, curious about what he would do next.

To their surprise, at the sight of their expressions, the owner exploded with rage. “What are you all looking at? Didn’t you hear me say there’s a ghost? Huh?!”

His furious shouting had the opposite effect, making the audience burst out laughing.

“Hahaha! This circus is something else—now they’ve brought out a clown.”

“Hahaha, a ghost? What’s next, are they going to tame ghosts too?”

Some even jeered, “Hey, mister, where’s the ghost? Bring it out for a walk!”

The beast tamer could no longer keep a straight face. He looked at the owner, his expression pained. “Boss, if you keep this up, you’re going to attract unnecessary attention. If the cops show up, what will we do then?”

The owner glared at the beast tamer, his face twitching uncontrollably, his eyes nearly bulging out. “I told you, there’s really a ghost here!”

With that, he shoved the beast tamer aside and strode toward the audience.

“Fine, you don’t believe me? Then you all can keep the ghost company and buy me some time!”

After his words, he suddenly dashed madly into the audience.

“You idiots! You’re all doomed!”

The audience’s mockery didn’t cease for a moment. They had never seen anyone this funny—a man claiming there was a ghost, how ridiculous!

But just then, halfway through his escape, the owner’s body began to twist unnaturally. He reached behind his back, writhing in a way that was deeply unsettling.

The audience was startled by this bizarre behavior; fear crept into their faces, and some were already preparing to run.

Then the owner’s voice rang out again, “Who the hell flicked a cigarette butt down my shirt?”

At his words, everyone breathed a sigh of relief. So that strange movement had only been him trying to get a cigarette butt out of his clothes.

But as they relaxed, something even more unfathomable happened.

Behind the owner, a crimson figure appeared. This figure seemed to be—reaching into the owner's chest!

The owner quickly collapsed to the ground, his place taken by the red figure. Everyone could see it clearly: this figure hovered above the ground, and in its hand was a bright red heart!

The crowd was stunned into silence, frozen in shock, forgetting even to run. They simply stared, dumbfounded.

But in those few seconds of stupefaction, the blood-red monster turned its gaze upon them.

“Ahhh! Run!”

This scene of gore ignited everyone’s survival instinct, and chaos broke out as people scrambled to escape in terror. Cries, screams, and pleas for help filled the air, feeding a torrent of fear straight to Xiao Zi.

Yet Xiao Zi was not satisfied with just this much fear. His form swelled into a towering figure, and with a hellish wail, he bellowed to all around, “I want to eat you all!”

His voice rippled outward, spreading like a shockwave from the depths of hell, striking terror into every soul present.

Screams echoed through the entire circus, providing Xiao Zi with an endless stream of terror. People ran for their lives, while Xiao Zi plunged into the crowd, harvesting their fear with abandon.

But before he could revel in his triumph, a surge of powerful energy crashed toward him.

Xiao Zi reacted instantly, turning into a streak of red light to dodge the attack.

He glanced at the source and saw three men in black trench coats standing there. Judging by the aura they exuded, these were three F-class Ghost Tamers.

Things were getting tricky…

Before he could think further, several black clouds of smoke materialized at his side.

Xiao Zi instinctively sensed these clouds spelled trouble for him. He immediately transformed into a red beam, trying to get as far away from them as possible.

But the black smoke was even faster, instantly closing in and surrounding him.

Looking at the fleeing crowd, Xiao Zi realized escape was no longer an option; today, he would have to fight.

The clouds of smoke gradually took on human forms, appearing beside Xiao Zi. One of them was someone Xiao Zi recognized—the Ghost Tamer who had examined Ruan Qing’s body at the hospital.

Sun Shi He regarded the red wraith before him, his gaze growing grave.

“How long has it been? And you’ve already grown to E-class?”

Xiao Zi had no intention of wasting words. He immediately unleashed a Soul Wind Blade at Sun Shi He.

Sun Shi He raised both hands, black smoke swirling around them, and blocked the attack with ease.

“Take it alive. This entity may very well possess a Forbidden Domain!”

A ghostly being with a Forbidden Domain was of immense value to Ghost Tamers. If someone could seal such a creature within themselves, they would become a Ghost Tamer with a Forbidden Domain.

Sun Shi He’s thinking was simple: in the end, this was only an E-class entity, and he and the other two Ghost Tamers were also E-class. Generally, Ghost Tamers of equal rank were stronger than ordinary ghosts, so he believed the three of them could capture Xiao Zi alive without issue.

Though a Forbidden Domain was powerful, it couldn’t simply be activated at will. As long as they didn’t fall into the enemy’s domain, this ghost was no different from any other.

But before Sun Shi He could dwell on it, an eerie sound pierced the air—a chorus of a thousand wailing spirits, as if summoned from the underworld itself, clawing to drag him down as well.

He hadn’t even regained his composure when a spray of blood burst beside him.

“Ah! How can this thing be so fast!”
