I have been away accompanying my wife and elders back to our hometown, visiting relatives and friends, and even attending a wedding banquet. I have been caught up in the festivities all week, leaving me no heart for writing. I offer my sincerest apologies and hope for your understanding.

At my age, one cannot decline the company of kin, nor can one skip the weddings of friends. Such is the rhythm of daily life, filled with endless, trivial matters.

Today, I have finally found some rest. I have put away the wine, closed my doors to visitors, and am settling down to write in earnest.
