Release Announcement.

How should I put this? The notice about the book going on sale came rather suddenly—not entirely unprepared, but certainly a bit embarrassed. When I woke up today, I saw the backend notification that the book would be released for sale, and it’s coming very soon—tomorrow, in fact.

I immediately reached out to my editor, Chen, to discuss it. I hadn’t planned to release it this early; ideally, I would have waited another month, after reaching three hundred thousand words, before considering the release. But the notice has arrived, and I’ve been told it can’t be changed. There’s nothing more I can do.

It’s a little disheartening, especially because I have no chapters stockpiled at the moment, and I’m only halfway recovered from a cold. My nose is still stuffy, and my voice is thick. Nevertheless, I’ll do my utmost to make the most of this situation. Tomorrow, on release day, I guarantee at least three chapters; if my typing speed holds up, I’ll add more. After a few days of steady updates, I plan to start a routine of three chapters daily from the first of next month.

Though I won’t promise three grand chapters, three updates will come close to ten thousand words per day. All I can do is work hard, and work even harder to keep the updates coming.

Writing full-time is my current occupation, and the number of subscriptions after the release will determine whether I can continue writing full-time after the New Year. If the results are good, I’ll be able to keep doing what I love. If not, I may have to look for a job and write part-time in the evenings, which would inevitably slow down the updates.
