Words Upon Publication
Thank you to all my friends for your unwavering support along the way.
The previous book was written over the course of nearly eleven months, six of which were spent under restriction. To persist and finish at one and a half million words was no easy feat.
For this new novel, I resolved to turn over a new leaf and start fresh. The theme has changed, and I’ve encountered a few pitfalls along the way. The protagonist's personality has also been adjusted—he’s much more restrained this time. After all, the underlying character traits of the two main characters from each book are fundamentally different.
As for the setup: Gu Changqing has never lacked money since childhood, so he’s not as greedy as Gu Sheng. However, the environment he grew up in and the influences around him have made him more flamboyant. Overall, Gu Changqing’s outlook is more upright, and he acts more principled.
Now, this book has reached the moment when its success will be tested. Tomorrow at noon, it will be officially released with updates. I hope my friends will support it by subscribing, as only subscriptions can determine how far this work will go.

Lastly, some readers have asked about the previous book. The last novel was set in Hong Kong, not in the fantasy genre. You can’t find the Hong Kong-themed novel by searching its title directly, nor is it visible on the author’s homepage. If you search for the author’s name, “No Onion,” three books will appear—one of them is set in Hong Kong. Alternatively, you can scroll down to the bottom of the author’s homepage and look for the author’s chapter remarks; from there, you can click through, add it to your shelf, and read it normally.
