After Chu Feng left the building, he headed straight to the second floor where Old Chen was staying. As he approached the elevator, he saw Nurse Xiao Han embroiled in a heated argument with a man.

Curious, Chu Feng walked over, thinking perhaps it was Xiao Han’s boyfriend, and the two were having a quarrel.

"Xiao Fang, why won't you give me a chance? My feelings for you are sincere." The man spoke as he pulled a box from his pocket, opening it to reveal a diamond ring.

"Please, marry me. I promise to treat you well," he said, dropping to one knee, gazing at Xiao Han with a look of devotion.

But Chu Feng saw through him immediately; the man's eyes were filled only with desire, not affection. He simply wanted to possess the girl before him.

Xiao Han was startled by the scene. She had never expected her class leader, Wang Lei, to make such a move today.

Back in university, Wang Lei had relentlessly pursued her. Han Xuefang knew his reputation was poor—he often tricked girls into hotel rooms. So she had always refused him. After graduation, she avoided him, but somehow Wang Lei learned from a classmate that she worked at this hospital.

Wang Lei had been pestering Han Xuefang for days. Now he was proposing marriage. Han Xuefang, unsure how to make Wang Lei give up, stood there helplessly.

"Excuse me, I'll be taking this ring. I was just about to propose to my girlfriend, but haven’t bought a ring yet." Chu Feng stepped forward and snatched the ring from Wang Lei's hand.

"She’s my girlfriend. Please don’t bother her again. As for the ring, just tell me the price and I’ll pay you," Chu Feng said, slipping the ring onto Han Xuefang’s finger and wrapping his arm around her waist.

Han Xuefang blushed deeply, flustered by Chu Feng’s sudden intervention and his act of pretending to be her boyfriend.

"You punk, who do you think you are? That ring cost over three hundred thousand! Can you afford it? Get lost and let go of Xiao Fang. Someone like you isn’t worthy of her," Wang Lei snapped, pointing at Chu Feng after recovering from the shock of having the ring taken.

"If I can pay, what then? If I offer four hundred thousand, will you give me the ring?" Chu Feng replied. Money was no issue—he could easily pay four million if needed. He was only doing this to spare Han Xuefang further embarrassment.

"I don’t need you to pay four hundred thousand. If you can show me a hundred thousand right now, I’ll bow to you!" Wang Lei said contemptuously, thinking that if Chu Feng had that much money, he wouldn’t be dating a lowly nurse and wearing shabby clothes.

"Watch closely. When you kneel later, don’t make me force you." Chu Feng handed his phone to Wang Lei, showing him the long string of zeros on his account. Wang Lei’s head spun at the sight.

Though Chu Feng’s fortune wasn’t enormous, having several million was hardly unusual.

With a trembling hand, Wang Lei dropped Chu Feng’s phone after seeing the message.

Chu Feng picked up his phone, checked it for damage, and slipped it back into his pocket.

"I won’t ask much—kneel and bow three times. Then the ring is mine. If you ever bother my girlfriend again, I’ll break your legs!" Chu Feng stared at Wang Lei, determined to teach him humility. If Wang Lei admitted fault, Chu Feng wouldn’t actually make him kneel—this was just to curb his arrogance.

"Beat him up and get the ring back! No matter how badly he’s hurt, I’ll take responsibility!" Wang Lei, furious, ordered his two bodyguards to attack Chu Feng.

"It seems you need to learn a lesson," Chu Feng said, darting forward and landing two swift punches, knocking both bodyguards unconscious.

"What are you doing? I warn you, my father’s the big boss around here! If you lay a finger on me, you’ll regret it!" Wang Lei panicked, seeing his bodyguards so easily dispatched. He was a bully by nature, relying on his father’s influence to prey on women, but when confronted with real strength, he cowered.

"You said if I could show you a hundred thousand, you’d kneel and bow. Now it’s time to keep your word," Chu Feng placed his hand firmly on Wang Lei’s shoulder, who couldn’t break free no matter how hard he tried.

"Are you not afraid of my father—"

Smack! Before Wang Lei could finish, Chu Feng slapped him hard.

"If you say another word, I’ll slap you again. Say one more sentence and I’ll slap you ten times!" Chu Feng’s murderous intent made Wang Lei too frightened to speak.

"You have two choices: kneel and bow, or I’ll break your legs. You have ten seconds—think carefully." Chu Feng released his grip, unconcerned that Wang Lei might run; even if he did, Chu Feng could easily catch him.

Seconds ticked by. Sweat beaded on Wang Lei’s forehead. He hadn’t expected to run into such a hard case today.

"Time’s up. Since you refuse to kneel and bow, I’ll break your legs," Chu Feng said, clenching his fists as they crackled ominously. Wang Lei nearly wet himself at the sight.

"Wait! I’ll kneel and bow," Wang Lei pleaded, dropping to his knees and bowing three times.

"I’ve done what you asked. You should let me go now!" Wang Lei stood up, his eyes filled with venomous hatred.

"Then the ring is mine. Thanks for your generosity. You may leave," Chu Feng said, deliberately waving the ring box.

Wang Lei stared at the box in Chu Feng’s hand, itching to snatch it, but remembered Chu Feng’s prowess and suppressed the urge.

I’ll make him pay for this! I won’t rest until I tear him to pieces!

After leaving the hospital, Wang Lei took out his phone and made a call.

"This ring is yours now. It looks quite beautiful on you," Chu Feng said, gifting the ring worth over three hundred thousand to Han Xuefang.
