The young nurse was unaware of Chu Feng’s identity and did not make a fuss, simply preparing to call the soldiers outside. However, as she turned around, she was startled and took two steps back. Turning, she found herself face to face with the young man who had been lying on the sofa moments before. In her retreat, she suddenly collided with the small cart behind her. The cart rolled forward a bit from the impact, and with her weight thrown backward, she was about to fall to the ground.

Quick as lightning, Chu Feng reached out and grabbed her hand, pulling her back. The force of his pull sent her crashing directly into his arms. After regaining her balance, the nurse quickly struggled free from his embrace. Chu Feng, meanwhile, brought his hand to his nose and caught a faint fragrance of youth lingering there.

Seeing this gesture, the nurse blushed crimson and cursed him as a scoundrel in her heart.

"What are you doing here? Why are you in the ward so early?" Chu Feng looked at the nurse before him, a hint of doubt in his eyes.

"I came to check Mr. Chen's temperature and blood pressure. Who are you? Why are you in Mr. Chen's room?" Though petite, the nurse was vigilant, her face full of suspicion as she stared at Chu Feng.

"I'm a doctor. I’m here to treat Mr. Chen. You should come back later; he’s resting right now," Chu Feng replied, revealing his profession.

Hearing this, the nurse scrutinized Chu Feng carefully. No matter how she looked at him, he didn’t seem like a doctor.

"This guy dares to impersonate a doctor to treat Mr. Chen? He must be up to no good. I’ll leave and get the guards to take care of him," she thought, convinced that Chu Feng was no doctor. She decided to lure him out and have the guards come in to apprehend him.

"Fine, I’ll come back later," the nurse said, leaving the room without even bothering to take her cart.

"Gentlemen, there’s someone in Mr. Chen’s room who claims to be a doctor, but he doesn’t look like one at all. I think he’s suspicious—hurry and catch him!" The nurse hurried to the soldiers outside, urging them to go inside and deal with Chu Feng.

"Nurse, don’t joke around. We’ve been stationed here all night and haven’t seen anyone go in. Where would a suspicious person come from?" The two soldiers at the door were skeptical.

They had been on guard all night and hadn’t seen anyone enter. Could someone have climbed in through the window?

"Li, keep watch here. I’ll go in and have a look," said the soldier on the left, entering the ward together with the nurse to see if there was indeed a stranger inside.

"You’ve come back again? Next time, remember to take your cart when you leave." At that moment, Chu Feng pushed the nurse’s cart over to her.

"Officer, when I came in just now, this man was lying on the sofa. I think he’s up to no good," the nurse said, taking her cart and turning to the soldier.

"Young lady, he’s here to save Mr. Chen. If it weren’t for him, Mr. Chen wouldn’t have woken up yet. I think you’re just not fully awake," the soldier explained Chu Feng’s identity to her.

The nurse’s mouth fell open in surprise. She hadn’t expected Chu Feng to be telling the truth.

"I’m sorry, I didn’t know you were really a doctor. Please don’t take offense," she apologized quickly to Chu Feng after hearing the soldier’s explanation.

"Han, did you misunderstand Chu Feng? It’s my fault—I should have had someone inform the nurse’s station yesterday," came a voice from behind Chu Feng. It was Mr. Chen, who had already gotten out of bed and was standing behind him.

Chu Feng promptly went to Mr. Chen’s side and helped him to the sofa. Although Mr. Chen could walk, he was still very weak.

"Mr. Chen, this pretty nurse mistook me for a bad guy and wanted the guards outside to arrest me. The soldier already explained everything to her," Chu Feng said with a wry smile. No one believed he was a doctor, and now the nurse had even treated him as a criminal.

"I forgot to tell the nurse’s station about this. This young lady comes every morning to take my blood pressure and temperature," Mr. Chen explained, having forgotten to mention it the day before due to being occupied with paperwork.

"No problem. Let Han check your blood pressure and temperature first," Chu Feng said, standing aside so the nurse could do her job.

Since Mr. Chen was hospitalized, this nurse—Han—had been taking care of his daily needs. After his coma, she came every day to record his vital signs.

Han skillfully opened the medical kit, took out the necessary instruments, and began to measure Mr. Chen’s blood pressure, with Chu Feng observing from the side.

Though Chu Feng was a highly skilled doctor, there were some things that even he couldn’t determine just by feeling a pulse; certain measurements required instruments.

Two minutes later, Han finished checking the blood pressure and recorded the results in her notebook, as was her duty.

"Mr. Chen, your blood pressure is stable. I’ll inform Dr. Sun to come check on you later," she said. Dr. Sun was Mr. Chen’s previous attending physician.

"No need to trouble Dr. Sun. With me here, Mr. Chen will be fine," Chu Feng interjected.

"Dr. Sun is Mr. Chen’s attending physician and our hospital’s deputy director. He’s been a doctor longer than you’ve been alive," the nurse replied curtly, not even glancing at Chu Feng.

Mr. Chen laughed at her remark, finding her rather spirited.

Chu Feng stood there, feeling slightly awkward. He hadn’t expected to be mocked by a nurse today. In Renle Hospital, no nurse would dare speak to him like that.

Still, Chu Feng didn’t argue. There was no need—the truth would speak for itself.

Five minutes later, Han took the thermometer from under Mr. Chen’s arm, checked it, and logged the result in her notebook.

"Mr. Chen, you’re recovering well. Your temperature is normal. In the next few days, you can go outside for some sun," she said, offering additional advice before leaving.

Before she left, Han shot Chu Feng a fierce glare. In her heart, she had already branded him a rogue.

Chu Feng’s gaze followed the beautiful nurse until she left the room, and even after the door closed behind her, his eyes lingered on the spot where she had stood.
