Hurry up and take it off so I can take a look.
Having already consumed quite a bit of alcohol under the persistent urging of the alluring little sprites, Hans was beginning to feel a distinct buzz.
With his vision blurred and a licentious gaze, he stared intently at the oriental beauty standing right before him.
She was breathtakingly lovely, her eyes charming like autumn waters, radiating an indescribable, seductive allure.
Moreover, a strange and exotic fragrance emanated from her body, seemingly capable of stealing a man's very soul.
"Why are you still dressed? Strip right now and let me take a look!"
The sudden appearance of an unfamiliar woman on the island should have naturally aroused Hans's vigilance.
However, the intoxicating pheromones radiating from Taoyao, combined with the effects of the alcohol, left his mind in complete chaos, dominated only by a fierce and overwhelming desire for possession.
Taoyao smiled enchantingly and replied in fluent English:
"Very well! My body is not for just anyone to see. If you want to see it, we can go to a private room where we can look at it together."
With that, she gently moistened her lips with her rosy little tongue.
Taoyao had lived for a very long time, and before she was imprisoned within the snuff bottle, she had spent many years wandering the world.
During a certain period, on a whim, she had even taken the time to learn English.
Simple daily conversations were well within her grasp.
Hearing this, Hans understood it clearly as an invitation from Taoyao.
Trembling with excitement, he took Taoyao by the hand and led her directly toward his private quarters.
The other women in the tavern stamped their feet in frustration at the sight.
Hans's quarters were located right behind the tavern, reachable in less than a minute of walking.
Consumed entirely by lust, Hans impatiently shoved Taoyao down onto the bed.
He then fumbled frantically with his own clothing, rushing to strip.
There was simply no way this mere mortal of a man could actually do anything to her.
Therefore, Taoyao was in no rush at all, content to let him undress himself.
She would simply hand a stark-naked Hans directly over to Gu Xiangnan a little later.
"Bang!"
Suddenly, the sharp report of a gunshot echoed from afar.
That was the sound of the mercenaries opening fire after Han Fei and the legion of spectral warriors had fought their way into the residential sector.
Hans snapped back to reality instantly.
He turned around, intending to leave.
Taoyao immediately bounced up to block his path.
"Don't go! Everything will be fine, no one can possibly breach this island!"
Seductively, she grabbed Hans's belt and pulled him back toward the bed.
Finding her words quite reasonable, Hans submissively followed her back into the room.
A lecherous grin plastered across his face, he prepared to press himself upon her.
Outside, a hurried shout rang out:
"Boss, bad news! Someone has broken in!"
Hearing this, Hans turned pale with shock and hurriedly threw the door open.
A mercenary with a panic-stricken expression rushed inside, reporting breathlessly:
"Boss, we need to evacuate immediately!"
"A mysterious legion has appeared out of nowhere; they move like phantoms, and all our men have been slaughtered!"
Hans's eyes widened in sheer disbelief as he demanded:
"All slaughtered? How is that possible?"
"It's the absolute truth! Their movements are lightning-fast, nothing like ordinary human beings. We were completely caught off guard, and our losses are catastrophic."
Burning with anxiety, Hans bolted outside immediately, barking urgent orders as he moved:
"Quick, let's retreat by speedboat..."
At this moment, he cared only about saving his own skin.
As for the women back in the tavern, they would simply have to fend for themselves!
Before he could finish his sentence, a dull thud echoed from right behind him.
Startled, he looked back to see that his tall subordinate had already collapsed to the ground, completely motionless.
"What..."
Before the word could leave his lips, a beam of violet light shot forth from Taoyao's slender fingertip, striking him squarely between the eyebrows.
The next second.
He knew nothing more.
Han Fei led the spectral legion in thoroughly wiping out every single mercenary.
Next, they needed to find the hideout of their leader, Hans.
While searching the island, they unexpectedly stumbled upon a room heavily fortified with concrete walls and barbed wire.
Inside the chamber were piled vast quantities of ammunition, weapons, and other military supplies.
This was the armory!
Han Fei had originally intended to destroy all these weapons completely to prevent any future trouble.
To his surprise, however, the heroic spirits were actually able to touch these weapons.
Perhaps it was due to the period they had spent residing within the blood jade.
Nourished by the spiritual energy of the jade, they had gained the ability to physically interact with objects of the mortal realm.
"Take whatever you like! Whatever you cannot carry away, destroy completely."
At Han Fei's command, the spirits surged into the room like a tidal wave.
Most of these modern weapons were completely novel and unfamiliar to the majority of the spirits.
Coming from ancient eras, the heroic spirits stared blankly at the room full of high-tech armaments.
Since they didn't recognize any of them anyway, they simply chose at random.
If all else failed, they could always learn how to use them later.
One spirit, dressed in a green military uniform with a five-pointed star on his cap, managed to grab a machine gun.
Excitedly raising it above his head, he shouted loudly:
"My old rifle can finally retire!"
Another spirit, skilled in archery, acquired a sniper rifle.
He test-fired a round at a distant leaf on a tree.
The bullet struck the target with pinpoint accuracy, obliterating a tiny insect resting upon the foliage.
Every single spirit was soon draped in weapons, laden down until they could truly carry no more.
"We are retreating!"
At Han Fei's command, the group prepared to pull back.
He tossed a bomb directly into the armory.
The walls instantly imploded, and the heavy weapons and ammunition stored within ignited a chain reaction of massive explosions.
Blazing flames soared into the heavens, illuminating the night sky.
Just as they were about to set off to capture the leader Hans,
Han Fei was suddenly summoned back by Gu Xiangnan.
The remaining members of the spectral legion, however, showed no signs of panic.
Having received prior instructions from Han Fei, they split up to search the area methodically as planned.
Ultimately, their search yielded nothing.
The spectral legion quickly reassembled, awaiting further instructions from Han Fei.
Han Fei hurried back swiftly to reunite with the spirits.
Upon learning that no trace of Hans had been found—
And that even Taoyao had gone missing as well—
Han Fei deduced that if he was not on the island, he must have escaped by boat.
He immediately divided the spirits into several search parties to patrol the nearby waters.
Meanwhile, a hypnotized Hans had already boarded a speedboat alongside Taoyao.
The massive explosion on the island had triggered a raging inferno, reducing all the structures and corpses on the island to ashes.
While the spectral spirits were immune to fire and explosions,
Taoyao and Hans certainly were not!
Taoyao quickly hurried Hans toward the northern dock of Paradise Island, where they boarded a speedboat.
They needed to get away from this dangerous place immediately.
"You drive," Taoyao commanded.
With a vacant, glassy stare,
Hans moved like a manipulated puppet, walking mechanically to the helm and operating the vessel precisely according to Taoyao's orders.
Yet, the speedboat veered sharply from side to side, tracing a zigzagging, erratic path across the sea surface.
Puzzled, Taoyao asked, "Why are you weaving back and forth like this?"
"Avoiding naval mines," Hans replied.
A chill of retrospective fear washed over Taoyao; had she attempted to pilot the boat herself,
she likely would have been blown to pieces by now!
Fortunately,
once they reached the deep-sea waters, Hans resumed a straight course.
At that moment, countless figures soared through the sky—it was Han Fei and the members of the spectral legion!
Taoyao waved at them excitedly, signaling that her mission had been successfully accomplished.
Soon enough, the entire group returned to report to Gu Xiangnan.
On the deck, Hans knelt before him.
With a gloomy expression, Gu Xiangnan commanded:
"Call back all your remaining subordinates."
Mercenaries constantly carried out operations all over the world, and Gu Xiangnan feared that remnants of the Leopard Mercenary Organization might still be lingering elsewhere.
Cut weeds must be eradicated by their roots, lest they sprout anew in the spring breeze.
Given a few years, they might stage a comeback and bring him endless trouble.
His gaze completely out of focus, Hans replied numbly:
"They have all been recalled."
He had relied proudly on his lifetime of military campaigns, arrogant and dismissive of Gu Xiangnan.
Even after the second-in-command Rex perished at Gu Xiangnan's hands,
he had still firmly believed that Paradise Island was impregnable.
He was convinced that even if a sovereign nation deployed a professional army, it might not pose a threat to him.
He never imagined that Gu Xiangnan would wipe out his entire organization in one fell swoop.
Of course, at this point, Hans possessed no independent thought whatsoever.
Just as Gu Xiangnan raised his hand to execute Hans,
Taoyao suddenly widened her eyes, pointed past Gu Xiangnan's shoulder, and asked in confusion:
"Master, look! What is that?"
Gu Xiangnan turned around to look, and froze instantly.
A ship was approaching!
