Xiangnan Gu was frantic with worry, desperate to learn how the battle was progressing. He wondered whether Han Fei was with Taoyao. If only Han Fei could return.

Suddenly, a burst of golden light appeared, and Han Fei materialized out of nowhere.

Xiangnan hurriedly asked, “General Han, why have you returned alone? Has something changed on the battlefield?”

Han Fei was equally puzzled. “Little Nan, weren’t you the one who summoned me back?”

Damn it!

Xiangnan had forgotten about that. Now that he and his sword had become one, Han Fei, as the sword spirit, could naturally sense his summons.

“Why was there an explosion just now? Is Taoyao all right?” Xiangnan asked.

Han Fei replied solemnly, “Don’t worry, Little Nan. We merely destroyed their arsenal.”

“As for Taoyao... I wasn’t paying attention.”

After entering the island, Taoyao had gone off on her own.

Xiangnan grew anxious. “General Han, I implore you to return to Paradise Island at once. You must make certain that Taoyao is safe.”

“Though she belongs to the fox clan, she has fought alongside us. I cannot allow anything to happen to her,” Xiangnan said earnestly.

General Han swung his sword. “Then I shall hurry there immediately!”

Half an hour earlier, Han Fei had led the undead legion northwest.

As the scout had reported, after flying for roughly five kilometers, they saw an island ahead.

The island did not appear large, but its defenses were formidable.

A ring of guard posts and observation stations had been established around its perimeter, manned in shifts by mercenary soldiers. In the surrounding waters, patrol boats moved ceaselessly back and forth, their searchlights sweeping across the night sky.

Not even a fish could have swum in unnoticed.

Han Fei and the undead legion were invisible. They flew straight past the guard posts without being detected.

Taoyao could not turn invisible, but she could fly.

She chose to ascend high into the sky, avoiding the dense surveillance on the ground. The mercenaries generally watched only the sea’s surface. If a helicopter passed overhead, its tremendous noise would make it impossible to miss.

Taoyao, however, flew in complete silence.

Naturally, no one noticed her.

Han Fei and the undead legion first circled the island, surveying its overall layout from above.

In the northern part of the island stood a temporary camp made of sandbags and barbed wire. At its center was a command building, with radar antennas mounted on the roof.

At that moment, it was deserted.

“General, look over here!” one of the heroic spirits called.

Behind a mass of boulders, several artillery pieces and armored vehicles were concealed.

Han Fei’s heart tightened.

He had seen the models of those guns and armored vehicles on military programs. They were among the most advanced weapons in the world.

They flew to the western side of the island.

There was an open stretch of grassland with a makeshift basketball hoop. Ten mercenaries were playing basketball.

“Move!”

Han Fei gave the order without hesitation.

Several heroic spirits with long braids charged forward first. They hated the Eight-Nation Allied Forces to the core, and they never showed mercy to Westerners.

Drawing their composite bows, they loosed their arrows in unison.

Every shot struck its mark. Before the mercenaries had time to react, they collapsed in pools of blood, their throats pierced so thoroughly that they could not even cry out for help.

“Continue advancing!” Han Fei ordered in a deep voice.

Farther ahead, near the beach, stood a cluster of shipping containers arranged in rows, along with several simple tents. Through the windows of the containers, they could see beds, tables, and chairs. Some people were still lying on the beds.

Apparently, this was the living quarters.

In one corner stood a row of outdoor showerheads. The island lay in the tropics, where it was hot all year round. Since the island housed only male mercenaries, they bathed in the open air.

Not far away was a long row of tables. Numerous mercenaries were eating and drinking there.

After observing for a while, Han Fei realized that the men were numerous and spread out. He decided to divide his forces and eliminate them one by one.

He made a tactical gesture, signaling the undead legion to disperse.

The heroic spirits silently scattered. All of them were invisible, and no one could see them.

Once every member of the undead legion was in position, they suddenly revealed themselves.

The mercenaries had been sitting or standing, enjoying a simple dinner, while some lounged drowsily on their beds.

Then, all at once, so many figures appeared.

Some did not have time to react before the heroic spirits cut them down with a variety of weapons.

But these mercenaries were all highly trained, and they were not helpless prey. They drew their guns and opened fire on the heroic spirits.

To their horror, the bullets struck their targets yet had no effect.

Instead, the heroic spirits fought with ever greater ferocity.

The mercenaries were numerous, and they possessed rich combat experience. Amid the chaos, several managed to flee.

At the center of the island stood a building made of thick concrete walls.

It was an upscale bar.

Inside were seven or eight beautiful young women, each with a different complexion and hair color.

Although their appearances varied, they all shared one defining characteristic:

Their breasts had to be high and full.

The larger, the better.

That had been one of the most important criteria Hans used when selecting them.

More than three hundred mercenaries were stationed on the island, all of them vigorous men in their prime. They spent their entire year there.

If they had no way to vent their desires, they would go mad.

So Hans had gathered these beauties from all over the world.

At that moment, the women were bare from the waist up, wearing only semitransparent lace thongs. They crowded around Hans.

A fair-skinned blonde poured red wine over her own body. Hans pulled her into his arms and licked the wine from her skin.

The blonde girl moaned softly, melted against him, and squeezed her thighs together.

Beside them, a red-haired beauty grew jealous. She took a mouthful of whiskey, then slowly passed it to Hans mouth-to-mouth. The two of them followed it with a lingering, wet kiss.

Nearby, a dark-skinned beauty swiftly unfastened his belt and prepared to pull down his trousers.

Several other women, unable to get close, were nearly frantic. All of them wanted to please Hans.

The leader of this mercenary force was a retired general. Though he was nearly sixty, he was still vigorous. He possessed boundless wealth.

More importantly, if Hans took a liking to a woman, she would no longer have to serve the ordinary soldiers.

The girls brought every skill they possessed to bear.

Taoyao could not become invisible. When she came to the island, she had no choice but to fly higher, searching for a place with fewer people where she could land.

She noticed that there seemed to be little patrol activity in the central area of the island.

She landed beside the building and quietly peered inside through a window.

The spectacle inside the bar was all visible to her.

Judging by the treatment he received, this man was probably the leader of the mercenaries.

Xiangnan Gu had specifically instructed her to capture the leader and make sure he did not escape.

Taoyao decided to capture Hans alive and hand him over to Xiangnan.

Then she walked openly into the bar.

The moment she opened the door, the women inside turned to look at her.

Taoyao wore a close-fitting qipao that revealed every graceful curve of her figure. Her face was breathtakingly beautiful.

The women assumed that Taoyao was one of them—that men had brought her here to perform the same sort of work.
