The difference in their heights was maddening.

Ye Shen did not take offense. “Using my hands was more convenient.”

Clutching the lunchbox, Shen Tiantian leaned against the side of the elevator, thinking only of getting out once they reached the right floor.

But when the doors opened, Ye Shen reached out and snatched the lunchbox away.

Shen Tiantian jumped again in an attempt to reach it, but her head struck the insulated container. She winced in pain.

Ye Shen’s expression changed at once, and his hand moved almost instinctively to rub her head.

“How is it? Are you all right?”

Shen Tiantian glared at him. The moment he lowered the lunchbox, she snatched it back and immediately used the opportunity to put some distance between them.

“Don’t pretend to care. If you hadn’t stolen my lunchbox, would I have hit my head?”

Just then, Ye Yaoyao pushed open the door and saw Shen Tiantian clutching the lunchbox while warily watching Ye Shen.
