To be honest, when Abao first saw them, a sense of familiarity welled up in his heart. Yet, upon learning that they were not demons but humans, that feeling vanished entirely. The reason was simple: Abao, the crown prince of the demon race, deeply disliked humans.

“This isn’t good,” Mendie’s little face wrinkled in worry. “If they’re humans and yet appear in the Demon Imperial Palace, that suggests they might be consorts of a demon god.” Naturally, she referred to Bai Yue as the possible consort. As for Bai Nianxuan, she was only seven years old; no demon god would be so depraved as to covet a child. Mendie suspected Bai Nianxuan had simply come along with Bai Yue.

“Who cares what their status is? Just seize them,” Abao snorted coldly. “Guards, take them away.” At his command, a figure clad in black appeared behind him—Abao’s personal guard from the Invincible Demon Dragon Clan.

The Demon God Emperor, Feng Xiu, found it exceedingly difficult to produce heirs; he had only two children. To protect them, he specially assigned Invincible Demon Dragon Clan guards to their side.

Bai Yue ignored Abao’s words, clutching the bouquet to her chest and gazing at him with her dark eyes. She could see a shadow of the Demon God Emperor Feng Xiu in him—father and son, they truly resembled each other.

“Let’s see who dares to lay a hand on us!” Bai Nianxuan puffed up her cheeks, speaking angrily. “So what if you’re the crown prince of the Invincible Demon Dragon Clan? My cousin is a princess of the same clan!”

“Even if you’re the prince, you’ll have to respectfully call her ‘sister’ when you see her!” Bai Nianxuan’s childish voice brought the guards to a halt, their dark eyes wide with shock. Her words stunned them, making them hesitate to act. Offending a royal member of the Invincible Demon Dragon Clan was a capital offense.

“What nonsense are you spouting!” Abao paused, then erupted in fury. “I’m my father’s eldest child—how could I have an older sister? There’s only one younger sister after me!”

“You won’t trick me!” he declared.

“What is there about you worth tricking?” Bai Nianxuan retorted, glaring at him defiantly with her hands on her hips, a picture of stubbornness.

“You…” Abao began.

“What about me?” Bai Nianxuan shot back. “Don’t think just because you’re young, you can be unreasonable. I’m a child too, and if you get any fiercer, I’ll hit you!”

Seeing her fierce demeanor, Abao and Mendie exchanged glances, their eyes widening in disbelief. Where had this little firebrand come from?

No, this was the demon race—this was their territory. How could a human child be so audacious? It was outrageous!

“You want to hit me?” Abao took a deep breath, his tone challenging. “You’re the first to show such disrespect to me, the crown prince!”

“Disrespect is exactly right. You started it; I’m only polite to those who are polite to me,” Bai Nianxuan declared loudly, shielding Bai Yue behind her.

She feared the Demon God Emperor Feng Xiu because he was too powerful to defeat. But Abao and Mendie were different—they were just kids like herself. In Bai Nianxuan’s eyes, even if their talents had awakened, it was unlikely they’d cultivated to the third or fourth tier at their age. So if it came to a fight, she wasn’t afraid.

Her defiant, provocative gaze irked Abao. Never before had he met such an arrogant peer!

“Who do you think you are?” he demanded. “Huang Ze, seize them for me.”

Abao’s face was cold. “To show such disrespect to the crown prince! Soon, you’ll be fetching tea and water for me, the lowest servants in the Demon Imperial Palace!” He gave an annoyed snort.

Huang Ze looked troubled as he regarded Bai Yue and Bai Nianxuan. If these two had no backing, how could they dare say such things? Their squabble was their own business; if he intervened, the matter would be far from ordinary.

“Your Highness,” a graceful figure, Beiqing, emerged from the shadows, bowing respectfully to Abao. “This is Princess Bai Yue—your elder sister.”

“Princess Bai Yue was only recently found by His Majesty.”

Now it was Abao’s turn to fall silent. He scratched his head, staring at Bai Yue in astonishment, and tentatively asked, “Are you really my sister?”

Bai Yue said nothing, but Bai Nianxuan sprang into action. She strode over with her short legs, and under Abao’s shocked gaze, smacked his palm twice.

“You mustn’t be so rude to my cousin!” she admonished.

Abao stared at the red marks blooming on his palm, sinking into silence. For him, the force was little more than a tickle; the Invincible Demon Dragon Clan’s physique was formidable, making his skin tough and flesh thick.

Mendie meekly said, “Your Highness, Princess Bai Yue is your half-sister. That means her cousin is also a relative of His Majesty…”

Abao fell silent once more. The reason was simple: his mind couldn’t keep up with these complicated relationships. He had never imagined he’d have an older sister.

“Cat got your tongue?” Bai Nianxuan threatened, “Apologize to my cousin, or I’ll spank your bottom!” She shot Abao a fierce glare. “Quickly!”

“How childish!” Abao retorted, glaring at her. “I am the noble crown prince of the Invincible Demon Dragon Clan! If you dare spank me, you’re courting death!”

“I refuse to apologize—just you…” Before he could finish, Bai Nianxuan darted right up to him, abruptly raising her hand. Her speed caught Abao completely off guard.

Before the eyes of Huang Ze, Beiqing, Mendie, and Bai Yue, the sound of smacks rang out. Bai Nianxuan’s small hand fell quickly, spanking Abao twice right at the base of his spine.

Abao’s face flushed bright red with shame.

“How dare you!” he roared. “Bai Nianxuan, I’ll kill you!” Outrageous!

The faint pain at his tailbone sparked intense humiliation in Abao, and he glared furiously at Bai Nianxuan. If looks could kill, she’d have been cut to pieces a thousand times over!

He, the dignified crown prince of the Invincible Demon Dragon Clan, had been spanked by a child! Ahh! He was about to lose his mind.

“Nyah-nyah!” Bai Nianxuan made a silly face at Abao. “If you’ve got the guts, come hit me!”

She finished her taunt and immediately ran off—if she didn’t, she’d be caught by Abao.

Mendie watched, dumbfounded. This girl was bold indeed, daring to provoke the tiger in its own den.

“If I catch you, I’ll finish you!” Abao shouted in fury.

Thus, the entire garden was thrown into chaos. Bai Nianxuan ran ahead, Abao chased behind. Bai Yue smiled gently, sitting on the bench and watching their antics. Once Bai Nianxuan’s energy ran out, it would be her turn to deal with Abao.

“Your Highness,” Huang Ze said, troubled, “please restrain the crown prince.”

Cold sweat broke out on Huang Ze’s back. He had never expected this human girl to be so audacious.
