Spider-Man is worth at least two billion.
Cheating?
If Su Ye were to hear such an accusation, he would merely scoff in disdain.
How could a superhero’s own powers be considered cheating?
You think I’m Spider-Man? No, I am Andy Bogard—take my Shadow Slash Fist and Air Breaker!
You think I’m Andy Bogard? In fact, I’ve even freeloaded Terry Bogard’s powers—take my Power Wave and Burning Knuckle!
You think you’ve figured out all my abilities? Not at all. Once I play another Girlfriend Card, I’ll reappear in a brand new form.
As long as I change girlfriends fast enough, you’ll never figure out the full extent of my powers!
No, that’s not right—it’s not about changing. In an adult’s world, the right answer is, of course, to have them all!
Facing Su Ye’s ground-smashing Power Wave, the opponent Bullseye showed impressive adaptability. Even while airborne, he somehow pulled a short stick from nowhere, braced it against the ground, and narrowly avoided the attack.
But that was his limit. When Su Ye soared once more, flames trailing from his feet as he unleashed Andy’s ultimate move—the Super Crack Shot—Bullseye could only squeeze his eyes shut in resignation.
Bang! Bang! Bang!
After a flurry of violent blows, Bullseye crashed to the ground like a slaughtered pig, sprawled unconscious.
Spider-Man’s strength, combined with Andy’s ultimate move—even a powerhouse villain like Bullseye could only be rendered instantly incapacitated.
Su Ye stood over him and sighed helplessly.
“I wasn’t even using my full strength, and you’re already down! Pathetic!”
Bang! Bang!
Two more kicks shattered Bullseye’s shoulders to powder, leaving both arms useless. His once-unerring aim became a thing of the past.
When it came to villains like this, Su Ye never hesitated—lethal force was his principle.
With that done, Su Ye finally turned to look at Yoshio Goka behind him.
“You’re a ninja?”
Yoshio Goka nodded blankly, clutching his katana, unsure whether to attack, escape, or simply drop to his knees and beg for mercy.
Given the fighting strength Spider-Man had just displayed, he didn’t believe attacking would give him any chance of victory. Running would only mean dying faster. So, it seemed only one option remained.
“I surre—”
Clack.
A small pumpkin landed right in front of him, just below his knees, exactly where he was about to kneel.
“I surrender! Please don’t kill me!” Yoshio Goka hurriedly tried to back away, but a wad of webbing shot out, binding his feet to the pumpkin bomb.
“No—!”
Boom!
The bomb exploded, reducing Yoshio Goka to ashes.
“It’s been a pleasure working with you, Green Suit Knight!”
Su Ye waved to Harry, then did a backflip, diving off the rooftop in a graceful arc.
“Spider-Man! Shoot! Shoot!”
Da-da-da-da!
Below, the shouts of the mafia and the thunder of gunfire erupted, soon drowned out by screams.
“Aaah!”
“Mercy!”
“Please, no!”
Moments later, all was quiet below. Before Harry could run to the rooftop’s edge to watch, Su Ye leapt back up once more.
“All done. The ones below have been cleared out. Only this one’s still alive. Anything you want to interrogate him about?”
Harry glanced at Bullseye, who lay on the ground, barely clinging to life, his body seemingly broken in every conceivable way. Then he turned to Su Ye.
“Are you always this ruthless, Spider-Man? Or maybe I should call you... Little Ye.”
The moment that name was spoken, silence fell.
Su Ye crouched on the low wall at the edge of the rooftop, spreading his hands with a wry expression. “I’m wearing a mask, you know. How did you figure it out?”
Harry removed his helmet, and at last, a smile broke through his long-held tension.
“You know,” he said, “your English is really fluent, but there’s still a touch of an accent. Back in Dragon Country, I noticed it. You’ve changed a lot over the years, but if you listen closely, there are still traces. And your way of speaking, the way you walk—I know them better than anyone. Even if you could fool Gwen, you can’t fool me. I’m the one who knows you best.”
Su Ye pointed at his ear.
“Gwen’s listening in, by the way. She asked me to send her regards, and to let you know she knows me even better than you do—including, ah, my length and... cough!”
Su Ye coughed and shouted into his earpiece, “Hey, big sis, there’s no need to go that far for proof, is there? Length? Why not announce how many times and how long you begged for mercy?”
On the other side, Harry sighed.
“Now I finally understand why you turned down my five million dollar annual salary. If you’re Spider-Man, then five million really doesn’t match your worth. Frankly, even fifty million would be too little.”
You’re a cheat-code Spider-Man! A regular Spider-Man’s worth five million alone, but with those two energy blasts and that flying kick... if it’s less than a hundred million, I’d be embarrassed to even mention it.
Harry added silently to himself.
Su Ye raised his brows slightly. If you’d started at fifty million, maybe I would’ve agreed!
“I told you, it’s not about the money. You and the Osborn Corporation are facing a double crisis right now. I can’t offer much help, and taking your salary would weigh on my conscience.”
“But you still came to save me! If you hadn’t, I might have died here tonight!” Harry exclaimed.
What’s the value of being saved by Spider-Man?
Harry didn’t know about anyone else, but for him, the entire Osborn Corporation’s market value was tied to him.
With Osborn’s market cap over twenty billion dollars, even the slightest stock fluctuation could mean a billion-dollar shift. If the Green Suit Knight died here, the stock would nosedive, and the market cap could be cut in half.
Just for that, Osborn would be justified in giving Su Ye a billion as thanks.
Of course, market value and actual assets aren’t the same. For Osborn to hand over a billion in cash at once wouldn’t be easy.
But there was no way Su Ye could be left unrewarded.
After thinking for a while, Harry finally came up with a compromise.
“Little Ye, why don’t you join Osborn Corporation with me? If you invest as Spider-Man, I doubt the board would offer you less than one percent of the shares—they’d feel embarrassed to give you any less!”
One percent—that’s two hundred million. For Su Ye, a student from Dragon Country, that would be a meteoric rise.
And if Spider-Man joined Osborn, the stock would soar. By then, two hundred million would only be the beginning.
Faced with such enormous wealth, even Su Ye couldn’t help but be tempted.
