118. Summoning Jutsu: What a Huge Toad

Ignoring Neji’s petty arrogance, Su Ye chuckled and walked out of the school with Hinata.

The Chitauri inside the school had been concentrated in the courtyard, and the previous wave had already been completely wiped out. If they wanted to continue training, they would have to head outside. Seeing this, Neji followed silently. His mother’s voice was frantic, but in the background, his father’s calm, steady voice could be heard.

"Why are you making him come back now? Things are peaceful at home; you want him to return and become a spoiled heir who does nothing but rot? He doesn't need to go anywhere. Let him stay in New York. These aliens don't look like much, anyway. It’s perfect for him to get some practice in—consider it his time on the battlefield."

His mother didn't even have the energy to lecture Su Ye anymore; she immediately began scolding his father. "This is all your fault! I told you to teach the boy more things, but you wouldn't listen. "What could possibly happen?" his father muttered, though with little conviction.

"Xiao Ye," his mother said, turning back to him with a completely different tone after dealing with his father. "That unreliable man has been like that since he was a child. I’ll deal with him later. Of course, this was a good thing for Su Ye. As a Chinese person, he should be summoning a creature dressed in Chinese-style garments. It would have been far more awkward to summon a guy wearing a kimono and a katana.
