Chapter 4: Why Don’t You Just Fly to the Heavens?
"Haha, go ahead and worship me to your heart's content! I’m going to become a superstar, the richest person in the world, transform the Earth, and lead humanity out of the galaxy..."
In the classroom of Senior Year Three, Class Seven, where an English exam was underway, this sudden voice shattered the tranquil atmosphere in an instant.
Sixty or seventy students immediately swiveled their heads toward the last seat in the fifth row, staring at Chen Yufeng, who was slumped over his desk, fast asleep and drooling, as if he were a fool. At first, they were stunned, then erupted into peals of laughter.
"Wow, this idiot is the perfect embodiment of daydreaming!"
"Man, I’m jealous! He’s having such a beautiful dream in broad daylight—becoming the richest man in the world, leading humanity out of the galaxy? So awesome! Why not just ascend to the heavens?"
"I bet he’s having a spring dream. Look at that drool, the floor’s practically flooded!"
At that moment, a tall, curvaceous young woman of about twenty-four or twenty-five, fair-skinned and beautiful, dressed in a professional suit, walked over to Chen Yufeng’s desk. She bent down and smiled, asking, "Chen Yufeng, you seem to be having quite an exciting dream. Would you care to share it with the class?"
Her smile was like the calm before a storm.
By now, Chen Yufeng had already woken up. He rubbed his sleepy eyes, looked at the beautiful teacher in front of him—Zheng Ying—and then glanced at his classmates, who were snickering all around him, his mind a complete blank.
What was going on?
Hadn’t he just acquired the Divine Disk, made a show in front of the entire school, and then left?
Why was he back in the classroom again?
Could it all have been just a dream?
Damn!
This isn’t funny!
As he puzzled over this, a clear female voice suddenly sounded in his mind: "Idiot, confused, aren’t you? I just let you experience a virtual illusion for free so you could enjoy yourself. The Divine Disk is real, and all its functions are real, too. So, how does it feel? Pretty cool, right?"
"You—damn—"
The words escaped his lips, and sixty or seventy classmates stared, stunned. After a few seconds of silence, the girls covered their mouths to stifle laughter, while several boys burst out laughing again.
"Haha, this idiot is truly something! Dreaming about the beautiful teacher is one thing, but saying it out loud? That takes guts—I’m impressed!"
"Chen Yufeng, you’re awesome!"
Zheng Ying was famous throughout Sixth Middle School for her beauty. Whether it was her stunning looks or her proud figure, she was a huge temptation for the boys in their adolescence, and inevitably became the object of their fantasies.
But thinking about it was one thing—who would dare say such things to her face?
Did he have a death wish?
In truth, Chen Yufeng had intended to say to the little fairy, "Damn you, are you messing with me?" But after the first three words slipped out, he realized something was wrong and quickly waved his hand to explain: "Teacher, no, I didn’t mean that, I—"
"What did you mean, then?" Zheng Ying’s eyes blazed, and she looked ready to throw a punch.
"Idiot, can’t you use your thoughts to communicate with me? So dumb, haha." The little fairy’s voice sounded again.
"Damn you—"
Chen Yufeng blurted it out almost out of habit. Seeing Zheng Ying’s furious expression, he realized once more that he’d messed up, gritted his teeth, furrowed his brows, and nearly wanted to cry.
Now, even jumping into the Yellow River wouldn't wash him clean.
"Haha, this idiot is really on a roll today. You can’t help but admire him!"
There was no doubt—the class erupted into laughter again. A few boys gave him a thumbs-up, their faces full of admiration.
This guy wasn’t just lustful, he was brave, too!
Awesome, in every sense of the word.
"Get out! Get out of my classroom and never come back!"
Zheng Ying was so furious she could barely breathe. She could understand boys having spring dreams and even fantasizing about her, but to openly say such things—including about her own sister? Was he openly challenging her?
"Okay, I’ll go, I’ll go. Teacher, please calm down."
Knowing she was furious, Chen Yufeng sensibly stood up and prepared to leave the classroom. As he walked out, he grinned and said, "Beautiful teacher, let me treat you to dinner tonight. We can talk things over."
"Get out!"
Zheng Ying grabbed a book and hurled it at him.
Chen Yufeng genuinely wanted to treat her to dinner to explain and apologize. But given the current situation, it sounded like he was asking the beautiful teacher out, so Zheng Ying naturally gave him no good face. The classmates burst out laughing yet again.
"Yufeng, you’re awesome, I support you!"
"Come on, that’s so basic—trying to woo the teacher like that? Weak!"
"What’s all this noise? What’s going on in here? Are you planning to revolt?"
At that moment, a middle-aged man with gold-rimmed glasses and a stern expression stormed into the classroom—the class teacher, Zheng Mingjie.
Zheng Mingjie took one look at the scene and immediately understood. His gaze fell on Chen Yufeng, and he barked harshly:
"Chen Yufeng, it’s you again, upsetting the teacher and causing trouble, right? Are you planning to drop out and go work on a construction site early?"
Seeing him, Chen Yufeng couldn’t help but recall how, in the virtual illusion, this class teacher had flattered him. He wondered if, when he achieved greatness in the future, Zheng Mingjie would still be so obsequious.
One thing was certain—Zheng Mingjie was definitely snobbish. He treated students from wealthy families well, and was extremely strict with those from poor backgrounds who didn’t have good grades.
Take what happened recently, for example. When two poor students in the class fell in love, his approach was to berate them harshly, then read their QQ and WeChat chat logs aloud in front of everyone—including all their intimate messages.
The result was that the girl, overwhelmed by shame, nearly jumped off a building, and the boy, crushed, dropped out. After their parents found out, they came to the school for several days, but Zheng Mingjie felt he’d done nothing wrong. He believed high school students should focus on their studies, and romance not only affected their own learning but also had a negative impact on classmates.
In the end, nothing came of it, and he wasn’t punished by the school.
But were those poor students the only ones dating in class? The rich kids had girlfriends one after another. Take Zhang Haoxuan, the class’s wealthiest student—he often took girls out to bars and hotels, and even flirted openly with them in front of teachers, yet nothing ever happened to him.
Zheng Mingjie disliked Chen Yufeng, and Chen Yufeng disliked him right back. Too snobbish—he was a disgrace to his profession.
He replied irritably, "So what if I caused trouble?"
"What did you say?" Zheng Mingjie thought he’d misheard.
"Are you deaf?"
Chen Yufeng squared his shoulders, met his gaze, and said bluntly, "A teacher like you isn’t qualified to educate us. Go cool off somewhere else."
Damn!
He was really going all out today—did he have to be so cocky?
Looks like he’s planning to burn all his bridges and give up on his diploma!
Everyone knew Zheng Mingjie was strict. Normally, Chen Yufeng would never dare talk back to him.
But today, he was openly defying him.
The classmates watched with keen interest, eager to see what would happen next.
