Chapter 129: Little Immortal Brother Is Angry
“Little Immortal Brother, take me somewhere exciting…”
“Little Immortal Brother, transform again, just one more time…”
“Little Immortal Brother, please take me to the Heavenly Court to play…”
For the past couple of days, Chen Yufeng had been living with Liu Telin. Following her wishes, he transformed all sorts of rare treasures for her, let her fly, and even turned her into a fairy…
Liu Telin was ecstatic beyond words, but Chen Yufeng felt miserable, frustrated, and annoyed.
Unable to bear it any longer, seeing Liu Telin getting more and more carried away with no end in sight—constantly demanding him to transform this and that—he shouted angrily, “Are you freaking kidding me? Do you think a god’s power is infinite? I’ve been unable to practice properly for a thousand years on Earth. The little magic I have left has all been drained for your romantic whims. I’m basically a mortal now, with no power for the next two or three years. Do you understand?”
“What? How… how could this be?”
Liu Telin was utterly stunned and frightened, completely confused.
“You liked me because I had supernatural powers to do things ordinary people couldn’t. Now that’s gone. Go find yourself another idol. Bye!”
Chen Yufeng put on his clothes and left without looking back.
“Hey, wait! Don’t go…”
Liu Telin was completely dumbfounded. Seeing Chen Yufeng slam the door in anger, she quickly dressed and chased after him.
But when she reached outside the apartment, he was nowhere to be seen. Calling him yielded no answer.
Only then did she realize that she had been indulging herself without considering Chen Yufeng’s feelings. He was angry.
Oh, my idol… have you really left me just like that?
Liu Telin stood there, disheveled in the wind, feeling utterly lost and helpless…
It was around 8:30 in the evening.
After leaving, Chen Yufeng hailed a taxi and headed straight back to his Jingxuan apartment.
Yesterday, Kong Zetao had come over with a lackey, renting the room opposite Liu Telin’s and using binoculars to spy on them, trying to confirm if they were really married and living together.
It turned out they were.
Seeing the woman who once belonged to him sharing a bed with another man, Kong Zetao was filled with rage.
Although he couldn’t say he loved her deeply, she was still his nominal fiancée.
This matter had already become public knowledge in the capital’s social circles, ruining his reputation. How could he tolerate that?
Just now, he saw Chen Yufeng seemingly quarreling with Liu Telin before storming out. Overjoyed, he immediately took his lackey downstairs and drove off to pursue the taxi Chen Yufeng was in.
He was determined to exact revenge personally.
To vent the fury he had been harboring for days…
The driver of the car, a crew-cut man named Huang Yong, smiled as he drove, flattering Kong Zetao:
“Master Kong, congratulations on your impending revenge. That insolent brat dared to steal your woman. We must make him suffer terribly, no mercy.”
“Of course. Just shooting him in the head would be too easy. I want to cripple him—one hand, one foot—turn him into a eunuch, make his life worse than death. That’s the satisfaction I want.”
Kong Zetao’s face twisted into a sinister smile, imagining his enemy begging on his knees for mercy.
“What about that woman? What shall we do with her?”
“Start soft, and if that doesn’t work, then hard. She betrayed me, so playing her to death is the only way to quench my hatred.”
“Right, right, right. We’ll make that bitch suffer.”
Hearing this, the crew-cut man chuckled darkly:
“Master Kong, that woman is truly a rare beauty—one of the most alluring I’ve ever seen. Just looking at her makes me restless. If you get tired of her, can I take over?”
“Sure. She’s yours. Bring a few brothers along and take turns breaking that slut.”
“Thank you, Master Kong!”
The thought of such a stunning beauty becoming his plaything filled Huang Yong with excitement, invigorating his driving and deepening his loyalty.
The BMW tailed the taxi Chen Yufeng was in all the way.
About half an hour later, the taxi stopped in front of Jingxuan apartment.
Chen Yufeng had already noticed Kong Zetao’s tail but said nothing. After getting out, he casually walked toward his building, preparing to deal with the intruder.
Kong Zetao noticed how foolish Chen Yufeng was—oblivious to being followed despite having a car tailing him. This made things easier.
He quickly got out and, with Huang Yong, followed Chen Yufeng upstairs.
“Hey, kid, look who we meet again.”
As Chen Yufeng opened his door, he heard Kong Zetao’s mocking voice behind him.
The two were close behind, well-prepared and confident, wearing smug expressions.
All of this was expected, so Chen Yufeng showed no surprise, merely smiling amicably at them:
“A guest is always welcome. Since you’re here, come in. Let’s have some tea and talk about life.”
“Hmph.”
Kong Zetao sneered and, with Huang Yong, stepped inside Chen Yufeng’s apartment.
Huang Yong immediately brandished a gun, coldly aiming it at Chen Yufeng’s head:
“Kid, do you want to die? You even dared to sleep with Master Kong’s woman?”
“Please, don’t kill me! I’m young—I don’t want to die!”
Chen Yufeng, seeing the weapons drawn, feigned terror, clutching his head and begging for mercy.
This reaction was just as Kong Zetao expected.
Though he wasn’t a match in a one-on-one fight against this fool, now he had two guns. No matter how skilled Chen Yufeng was, he could only plead on his knees.
“Scared now, huh? Thought you were tough? Not so badass, are you?”
Kong Zetao, emboldened by the guns in hand, taunted Chen Yufeng, ordering coldly:
“Kneel and kowtow to me until I’m satisfied.”
“Kneel and kowtow?”
Chen Yufeng’s expression shifted, and he glanced at him coolly:
“Brother, I have a bit of a temper. I don’t kneel to heaven, I don’t kneel to earth, I don’t worship gods or respect immortals. If I kneel to you, I’m afraid my knees won’t agree. What do you suggest?”
“Looking for death.”
Kong Zetao, seeing Chen Yufeng’s insolence, lost patience and launched a flying kick toward his knee.
*Thud.*
In the next moment, instead of knocking Chen Yufeng down, Kong Zetao himself was sent sprawling.
Even worse, he found his gun jammed—no bullets fired at the crucial moment.
Huang Yong’s gun jammed as well, and he too was met with a forceful kick from Chen Yufeng.
Both men collapsed together, their confidence shattered.
Kong Zetao’s face twisted in shock and anger.
“What the hell? Huang Yong, is this the ‘top-quality’ new firearm you gave me?”
Furious, Kong Zetao slapped Huang Yong across the face.
“No way…”
Huang Yong was baffled. These were the latest pistols with an extremely low chance of jamming. That both guns malfunctioning simultaneously was almost impossible.
Yet, impossibly, that’s exactly what had happened.
