Chapter 123: I Have Wanted to Taste This for a Long Time (Votes, I need all kinds of votes)
Chapter 123: I’ve Wanted to Eat It for a Long Time
On the plaza, Yun Yang stood holding his sword, with Rose and a group of people converted from Huaxia warriors behind him. On the other side stood Morgana and the five she had selected, including Wei Qi, surrounded by a crowd of demons cheering them on.
Watching the people behind Yun Yang, Morgana’s expression darkened. She shouted, "What is going on with you? Who is your Queen? Come here!"
As Morgana finished speaking, the people behind Yun Yang spoke in unison, seemingly against their own will: "Queen Morgana."
Afterward, they looked at Yun Yang with pained expressions, feeling as though they had betrayed their homeland by saying those words in his presence. Rose stepped forward, gave the group a reassuring look, and declared loudly, "They are members of my squad."
Morgana nodded in satisfaction at Rose’s words, then signaled for Ablon to step forward. "Let’s begin. Ablon, you go first."
Yun Yang pulled Rose behind him and walked to the center of the plaza, saying to Ablon, "Big guy, try to last a few more rounds."
Ablon looked at the long sword in Yun Yang’s hand, then at his own empty hands, and said, "I don’t have a weapon, so you can’t use one either."
Yun Yang glanced at Ablon and then at their respective sizes, replying helplessly, "I’m so small and you’re such a giant—you won’t even let me use a weapon?"
"No. Weapons hurt too much when you get cut. If you use one, I’m not fighting." Ablon scratched his head as he spoke.
Ignoring him, Yun Yang looked toward Morgana, who was smiling in the background, and asked, "Does this count as a forfeit? Do I win?"
"Of course... not. Fairness is the most important thing in a tournament. You only win if you beat him, and then you can take these little roasted chickens. Understand?" Morgana flashed a cunning smile and gestured toward the angels behind her.
Yun Yang had no choice but to sheath his King’s Sword and ask, "I won't use it. Is that fine?"
"Yeah, that works. Let’s start," Ablon nodded.
As a demon fired a shot into the air, the battle between man and demon officially began. Relying on his size, Ablon reached out with a massive hand to grab Yun Yang. Yun Yang spread his wings and shot into the sky, nimbly dodging the aggressive grab. Before Ablon could retract his arm, Yun Yang landed a kick squarely on the giant’s face.
However, the expected sight of Ablon being sent flying did not happen. The giant merely tilted his head, absorbing the heavy blow with ease. Seeing his attack fail, Yun Yang tried to fly away, but Ablon caught him like a small bird and slammed him hard into the ground.
With a loud crash, Yun Yang lay in a crater filled with cracks. He realized he might not be able to defeat Ablon; the giant’s massive, beast-like physique meant that Yun Yang’s attacks were like pinpricks. Rose called out to him in anxiety, while the surrounding demons jeered, mocking him.
Ignoring the jeers, Yun Yang flew back into the air and said to Rose, "I’m fine. That hit didn't hurt me."
Ablon didn't care what he was saying and threw another punch, but Yun Yang, prepared this time, dodged it. He caught Ablon’s wrist, and with a loud shout, performed a shoulder throw. As Ablon’s massive frame slammed into the ground, the surrounding noise died down; the demons were clearly shocked by Yun Yang’s raw strength.
Before long, Ablon stood back up, just as Yun Yang had. Yun Yang didn't know what to do against such a behemoth. Then, a bright idea occurred to him: could he resolve Ablon’s structure and blow him up? He immediately reconsidered—this was a tournament, and if he blew him up, there would be no way to save him. Would Morgana kill an angel in retaliation? He couldn't gamble with the angels' lives.
As Ablon threw another punch, Yun Yang dodged again, searching for a breakthrough. After a few moves, he had another thought: his "collapse" ability didn't just resolve genes; it resolved quantum architecture. Could he resolve only the giant’s limbs? He acted on the thought, sending instructions to his gene engine.
Yun Yang realized it was possible and a confident smile spread across his face. He stopped trading blows and began to use his speed to dance around the giant. A minute later, Ablon stopped and shouted, "Why do you keep hiding? Just give up!"
Yun Yang didn't answer, only giving a strange smile that felt like mockery to Ablon. Furious, the giant took a deep breath and unleashed a stream of scorching fire at Yun Yang. Yun Yang didn't dodge. Seeing his attack land, Ablon laughed, "Haha, I am the Great Flame Demon!"
At that moment, Yun Yang finished his calculation. As the flames dissipated, he sneered, "Your title of 'Great Flame Demon' is hollow. This fire is only good for a barbecue. Now, it’s my turn for the big move."
He held his hand in the shape of a gun and said, "Surrender now and suffer less. Want to think about it?"
Ablon roared and charged with a punch. Yun Yang shrugged and said, "Bang."
As the sound echoed, Ablon’s limbs turned into a mist of blood. Only his wings remained, flapping weakly, as he let out a painful shriek. Seeing this bloody scene, the demons fell silent. Morgana didn't pay any mind to Ablon’s agony and said coldly, "Fine, this round goes to you. Pick an angel."
A space-time cage appeared before Yun Yang. He looked at the five angels inside, struggling with whom to choose. The angels, however, didn't struggle; they pushed one of their own forward, signaling for him to pick her. Relieved, Yun Yang had Morgana release her. The freed angel was extremely weak, so Yun Yang told Rose to take care of her before stepping forward again. "Next. I’m in a hurry."
Without a word from Morgana, the eager Thor jumped into the arena. "Me! Let me go. Let’s have a fight."
Yun Yang had no objections. "Do you have a weapon?"
Thor answered by manifesting two crescent blades in his hands. Seeing this, Yun Yang drew his King’s Sword and nodded at the demon who had fired the shot earlier, signaling for the start.
As the gunshot rang out, Thor attacked, unleashing a three-hit combo with his blades. Yun Yang dodged, not wanting to take the hits. Thor, relentless, leaped into the air and spun like a fireball toward him. Yun Yang knew that getting hit by that would be disastrous, so he dodged to the side.
Thor landed hard, and perhaps because he used too much force, he couldn't immediately follow up. Yun Yang seized the opportunity and slashed at him. Thor, having rich combat experience, raised his blades to block. However, the King’s Sword’s unique ability triggered, slicing Thor’s crescent blades in two.
The sword’s trajectory was blocked, but Yun Yang didn't mind. He shifted the angle and slashed toward Thor’s waist. Thor tried to block with the remaining halves of his blades, but they were sliced through again and rendered useless. Thor dodged the third strike, looking at the remains of his weapon with heartache, then roared, "You broke my knives! Bun, I’m going to eat you!"
Ignoring him, Yun Yang pressed the attack, swinging his sword toward Thor’s neck. Thor ducked, avoiding the blow, but in doing so, his tail lifted into the air. Yun Yang grinned, pressed his sword downward, and cleanly severed the crocodile tail.
Thor felt a pain in his tailbone and realized something was missing. He turned around, saw the tail lying on the ground, and asked blankly, "Whose crocodile tail is this? Do we not want it anymore?"
Yun Yang’s mouth twitched. *Does this guy not feel pain?* The surrounding demons covered their faces—they knew the crocodile was an idiot, but they hadn't realized he was *this* stupid. In truth, Thor didn't really feel pain anymore; the wound had already scabbed over and begun to heal.
"Brother Thor, that’s your tail!" one of the demons finally shouted, unable to stand the stupidity.
Thor touched his rear, realized his tail was indeed gone, and shouted, "Wait! Stop fighting for a second!"
Yun Yang stopped and looked at him, confused. Thor picked up his tail and ran to Morgana, saying, "Sister, keep an eye on this for me. I’ll roast it after the fight and share some with you. Don't let anyone steal it."
The entire crowd burst into laughter. Morgana just covered her face with her hand, looking utterly defeated. "I’ve got it. No one will steal it."
Thor nodded and walked back to Yun Yang, saying, "Brother, I’ve wanted to eat this for a long time, but I was always afraid it would hurt, so I never dared to do it myself."
