Yun Yang, now fully dressed, pulled out a bag of potato chips and began to eat, ignoring Qi Lin beside him.

Before he had taken more than a few bites, a hand flashed before his eyes, and the chips in his hand vanished.

He turned to glare at Qi Lin, who had snatched his snack. She simply rolled her eyes and swallowed the stolen chip.

"This is your compensation."

Upon hearing this, Yun Yang thought that was fair enough, so he let it slide. He pulled another bag from his dark plane, but just as he opened it, that same swift little hand appeared, and the chips were gone once more.

This time, he stared intently at Qi Lin without saying a word.

"Did you think one bag would be enough?" Qi Lin placed the freshly stolen chips on her lap and said airily.

Yun Yang didn't reply; he just stroked his chin with his hand.

Qi Lin hadn't paid much attention at first, already preparing to swipe another bag, but seeing Yun Yang motionless, just watching her while rubbing his chin and lost in thought, she began to feel uneasy.

"What are you thinking about?"

"You're too beautiful, and I'm letting my imagination run wild." Yun Yang’s tone was filled with admiration.

Qi Lin grew interested, unable to resist a playful tease.

"How wild is your imagination?"

As she spoke, she flicked a strand of hair behind her ear, her eyes brimming with amusement.

*Oh? A worthy opponent?* Yun Yang thought to himself. *Can't let her win.* He rolled his eyes, a smirk playing on his lips.

"My inner thoughts are even wilder than you can imagine."

Qi Lin was stunned for a moment, a faint blush creeping onto her cheeks, but she recovered instantly, her red lips parting slightly.

"Are you flirting with me?"

Her eyes were full of mischief, as if she were eager to hear his answer just to mock him.

Qi Lin’s sudden counterattack left Yun Yang speechless. He had predicted that she wouldn't know how to respond to his previous line. He had forgotten, however, that Qi Lin didn't have those kinds of feelings for him, so there was no shyness—if it had been Rose, the scene might have played out differently.

He opened his mouth, but no words came out. If he said yes, it would be awkward; if he said no, how could he explain his earlier remarks?

"Pfft!" Seeing his expression, Qi Lin burst into laughter. "You're still a long way off from trying to flirt with me, kid. Go practice some more."

With that, feeling she had gotten the upper hand, she stood up and left; she couldn't stand the smell of alcohol on her.

After she left, Yun Yang muttered to himself, slightly dazed, "So sharp... could she be a veteran of these games too?"

Inside the virtual space, the others who had returned to the living room felt like they had been force-fed a mouthful of dog food, and they had no mood to seek revenge. They exchanged glances, seeing the helplessness in each other's eyes—Leona most of all, as she couldn't even count how many times this had happened.

As the morning farce concluded, the D-Squad (Xiong Bing Lian) returned to preparing for the arrival of the Taotie and the Heavenly Scum.

They had ascended to space to train alongside the reinforced warriors. It was time to introduce these soldiers: they were the foundation of Earth’s future space force, enhanced with "Galaxy Power" serum and equipped with dark-alloy exoskeleton armor. They possessed the strength of first-generation super-soldiers, but lacking dark-matter computers, they could not manipulate dark energy, leaving them as "reinforced warriors" rather than true super-soldiers. This was Earth's current predicament—there were many super-soldiers, but they weren't developed domestically; they were just being used, not understood.

"Chuang, are you even trying?" After kicking Liu Chuang away, Ge Xiaolun launched into his mocking routine without mercy.

Liu Chuang felt utterly aggrieved. Lacking wings, he could only rely on the thrusters on his black armor, which felt completely uncontrollable.

He steadied himself, locked onto his target, and swung his axe, sending the still-mocking Ge Xiaolun flying. "Flying is such a big deal? Watch this!"

Soon, the communication channel was filled with chaotic bickering as Liu Chuang and Ge Xiaolun traded insults.

Yun Yang sighed and pulled Qi Lin into a private channel. "I can't handle these two. Let's switch channels and continue."

As he spoke, he pulled out bricks and threw them wildly. Qi Lin just smiled, silently shattering each brick with a single shot.

Seeing her silence, Yun Yang grew bored and struck up a conversation. "Do you think we're creating space junk doing this?"

Qi Lin sighed at his bizarre train of thought but replied, "The universe is vast; a little more trash won't matter. Maybe they'll become meteorites later."

"Haha, suddenly I feel like what I'm doing is quite grand."

He threw the bricks even faster, so fast that Qi Lin began to struggle to keep up; after all, a magazine only held so many rounds.

After emptying five magazines, Qi Lin spoke up. "Alright, alright, aren't you tired?"

"A little, I suppose. Let's do this instead." Yun Yang knew she was struggling. He had his AI, Xiao Yi, deliver an apple, took a bite, placed it on his head, and turned his back to her.

"Fine." As the word left her lips, the apple on his head exploded into tiny ice crystals.

Yun Yang was stunned. He slowly turned around and stared at Qi Lin, who was now just a tiny dot in the distance. "Did you even aim?"

"How else would I hit it?" Qi Lin’s voice was calm and filled with amusement.

"Couldn't you have aimed a bit more? What if you missed?" Yun Yang covered his face, voicing his concern.

"Confidence."

Qi Lin’s concise answer left him speechless.

Yun Yang pondered. He was a god-body now, right? Surely he could withstand a few ordinary bullets? His "thirst for death" began to burn brightly again.

"Qi Lin, shoot at me. Let's see how many I can block." Yun Yang drew his King Sword and took a defensive stance.

Qi Lin was startled for a second, then her eyes lit up. A smirk tugged at her lips as her fingers danced, swiftly reloading.

"Here goes!"

A bullet struck Yun Yang’s chest. He calmed his heart, flicked the King Sword, and the bullet was sliced in two. Yun Yang beamed—he could actually do it! His confidence surged. "Again!"

Qi Lin’s smile widened. She didn't stop, emptying the entire magazine at him in one burst.

To Yun Yang, it looked like flashes of fire were erupting from Qi Lin’s position, and bullets were raining down on him. He managed to deflect the first few through sheer reflex, but the rest were too much. He swung wildly, but most of the bullets hit his body.

Looking at the tiny holes in his clothing, Yun Yang felt deflated. Was blocking bullets even something a human could do? He didn't know about others, but he certainly couldn't. If given time to react, he could deflect a few, but in a barrage, he was better off just tanking the hits.

"Haha, tell me, how many did you block? Zero?" Qi Lin laughed through her sniper scope as she saw the holes in his shirt.

Yun Yang felt embarrassed. He had to regain his dignity.

A thought slowly took root in his mind. "Qi Lin, your accuracy in space is even better than on Earth. You don't need to practice this anymore."

"Then what should I practice?" Qi Lin asked, confused.

"Well, as a super-sniper, you should have some close-combat ability, right? Just in case an enemy gets close, you need to be able to protect yourself."

Though he was clearly spinning a yarn, Yun Yang was genuinely looking out for her. The Heavenly Scum were all super-soldiers; if they swarmed them, he couldn't guarantee he could protect a fragile sniper like her.

Qi Lin saw through his ruse immediately. Gritting her teeth, she said, "I know what you're up to. Don't use these high-sounding excuses to fool me. If you want to fight, come on. I'll give you a taste of my lead."

Though his plan was revealed, the outcome was what he wanted. Yun Yang sheathed his King Sword—flame-grade weapons were too dangerous; Qi Lin wouldn't survive a hit.

"Alright then, go hide! Otherwise, you won't stand a chance." Yun Yang flashed a wide grin.

Despite her annoyance at his attitude, Qi Lin knew he was right. Her ordinary bullets couldn't hurt him; if he charged, she wouldn't get many shots off.

Surveying the surroundings, she spotted an asteroid belt. It was a complex environment, perfect for a sniper. Blue flames erupted from her thrusters, propelling her forward at high speed.

Seeing her flee, Yun Yang cracked his neck and wrists, already imagining how he would "bully" this policewoman later.

As a bullet struck his chest, he knew she was ready. With a flap of his wings, he carved a white streak through the dark backdrop of space.

Lying on an asteroid, Qi Lin felt like she had forgotten something, but she couldn't put her finger on it.

She pushed the thought aside. With Yun Yang's speed, he would reach the asteroid belt in less than twenty seconds.
