Chapter 107: The Scoundrel (Please Vote for Me)
Chapter 107: The Scoundrel
As Yun Yang silently called out to Xiao Yi in his heart, his entire body tensed as he arrived at the courtyard. Wearing nothing but his underwear from the entire day and still bearing that twisted expression on his face, he made a secret resolve within himself.
From now on, he would never be mischievous again. Swearing on his “little brother,” he recalled the last time he acted out, when Qing Xue’s blazing swords almost cut down his second brother. This time, if he dared to tease Qi Lin, she would shoot his second brother without hesitation.
Though he didn’t fully understand why these women, when angry, seemed so interested in his “little brother,” it didn’t stop him from learning from these two incidents.
Outside, as Yun Yang stood firm, inside the virtual space, several women were gathered in the public chat channel, staring at a few photos.
Each of them looked at Qi Lin with surprised expressions. None had expected that the tough, big-sister figure of the male warriors would look so adorable when drunk.
Though everyone thought Qi Lin was cute, her attention was fixed solely on the toilet. Despite the lid being closed, it was still a toilet. The embarrassing story Yun Yang told was like this—and worse, he had even taken photos and posted them in the public channel. It was utterly unforgivable.
Lena walked over to Qi Lin, wrapped an arm around her, and shook her affectionately, praise spilling from her lips.
“Qi Lin, I never imagined you’d look so beautiful when drunk. Just look at those dreamy little eyes.”
Hearing Lena’s words, several dark lines appeared on Qi Lin’s pale forehead, just as Su Xiaoli’s slightly indignant voice rang out.
“Such a beautiful Qi Lin, yet utterly defenseless—and Yun Yang still teases her. I seriously doubt his sexual orientation now.”
The group all nodded in understanding, except Ruimengmeng, who looked puzzled.
“But Yun Yang has a girlfriend.”
At Ruimengmeng’s remark, the women froze for a moment. Lena stroked her chin thoughtfully, then gave a sudden realization a tap with her palm.
“Maybe, in Yun Yang’s eyes, a Qi Lin who offers no resistance isn’t as charming as Qiangwei.”
With Lena’s words, the group’s gazes shifted again toward Qi Lin, now tinged with a trace of pity.
Qi Lin sharply noticed this and felt a surge of anger rising within her. She stretched out her hand, and the God’s Punishment sniper rifle materialized instantly.
Seeing this, everyone quickly withdrew their eyes and watched as Qi Lin left the room.
Then Su Xiaoli nudged Wei Ying cautiously.
“Is Qi Lin angry?”
Wei Ying could only shrug and nod, confirming Su Xiaoli’s suspicion.
With a sharp clack of high heels against the floor, Qi Lin suddenly appeared before Yun Yang. Before he could even show surprise, she aimed the God’s Punishment directly at his “little brother.”
At that moment, Yun Yang knew he had painted himself into a corner again. But for his little brother, for Old Li’s eldest grandson, he felt he could still salvage the situation. He quickly raised both hands and retracted the photos immediately.
“Qi Lin, I think I can still make amends,” Yun Yang said, his voice slightly hoarse but his words rapid.
“Hmph,” Qi Lin’s single word conveyed her current attitude toward Yun Yang.
“I’ve already withdrawn the photos and deleted the source files. I was wrong.”
Yun Yang held perfectly still, carefully watching Qi Lin’s expression, continuing at a fast pace.
After he finished, Qi Lin exhaled deeply, suppressing the inexplicable emotions within her, her tone icy cold.
“There won’t be a next time. Or you know what will happen.”
Hearing this, Yun Yang realized he had narrowly escaped disaster, nodding quickly like a pecking chicken.
“I won’t dare again. Really, I won’t.”
“Tch, you rogue,” Qi Lin snapped, lowering the sniper and wearing a look of disgust.
Just as Yun Yang and Qi Lin were having this friendly exchange, several others in the virtual space’s living room spotted Ge Xiaolun entering.
They immediately restrained him—not with handcuffs this time, but simply holding him down with their hands.
Ge Xiaolun dared not struggle, fearing that if he upset these women, he would be doomed as a scoundrel.
As his body stiffened, unable to resist, Lena smiled brightly and conjured a dazzling orb of light in her hand.
“Ge Xiaolun, tell us—what were you thinking?”
“Huh? What do you mean, what were we thinking?” Ge Xiaolun looked genuinely confused.
“I knew you wouldn’t confess nicely. Yun Yang has already fled. This time, we won’t let you escape.”
Lena’s eyes narrowed dangerously, the glow in her hand intensifying, and her tone grew sharper.
Feeling the threat, Ge Xiaolun’s thoughts raced. Suddenly, an idea struck him: could this be about yesterday when they made the girls drink white liquor? Yesterday, these female demons had all been intoxicated by a few boys. He concluded this must be it.
“Sis Na, don’t be so mad. It’s not my fault. It was Chuangzi—no, that Liu Chuang’s idea.”
Ge Xiaolun’s face went pale as he earnestly sold out Liu Chuang. After all, he’d rather destroy an ally than perish himself. Sorry, Chuangzi.
“Yun Yang ran off, and you girls still haven’t gotten your revenge. Ge Xiaolun, you owe us one.”
With a flick of Lena’s hand, four little pink fists landed on Ge Xiaolun’s face—though the affection was a bit bruising.
Covering his colorful face, Ge Xiaolun shrank back onto the sofa, while the women’s gaze shifted toward the terrified, timid Xiao Yi beside him.
“Little Sister Yi, tell your Sister Xiaoli—where’s Liu Chuang’s room?” Su Xiaoli gently rubbed Xiao Yi’s hair, smiling warmly, her tone soft.
But to Xiao Yi, this smile was no different from a devil’s grin. After all, when they had just beaten up Ge Xiaolun, they wore the same expression. For the sake of Zhi Li’s safety, Xiao Yi didn’t hesitate and pointed to a room on the second floor.
Since Ruimengmeng was closest to the stairs, she was the first to reach the room’s door. Opening it, she looked inside with a strange expression, then slammed the door shut with a bang and shook her head at the others behind her.
“This might not be the right time to come. Let’s forget it.”
“That won’t do. Those lousy losers all need a good beating.”
At Lena’s words, several witches cracked their knuckles and nodded in agreement.
Seeing their determination, Ruimengmeng could only step aside helplessly. With another loud crash, Lena shoved the door open, and the group poured inside.
They froze on the spot, utterly stunned by what they saw. It was unbelievable—this sight left them at a loss.
He Weilan was lying on the bed with Liu Chuang, even embracing him. Liu Chuang seemed unbothered, but Weilan’s blissful expression was bewildering.
As the women regained their composure and awkwardly prepared to leave, the loud door opening had already awakened the two on the bed.
Liu Chuang rubbed his head and tried to get up, but He Weilan’s hold prevented him. His movement, however, woke her as well.
With a soft moan, she slowly came to and released Liu Chuang, her eyes dazed as she rose.
Seeing their movements, those who entered were caught between staying and leaving—they could only stand frozen in place.
Noticing the shadows nearby, He Weilan’s gaze cleared. She saw Liu Chuang rubbing his head beside her and momentarily froze, unable to understand the situation.
Seeing He Weilan staring at him, Ruimengmeng awkwardly waved a hand and murmured,
“We didn’t see anything, Weilan.”
Speaking for the group, Ruimengmeng grabbed Wei Ying and prepared to leave.
Hearing this, He Weilan’s stunned mind began to function again. She screamed sharply and kicked Liu Chuang to the floor.
Liu Chuang, feeling himself fall, snapped out of his daze and scrambled up, ready to curse.
But as he took in the room’s situation, an embarrassed smile spread across his face, and his curse twisted into a surprised question.
“What’s going on here?”
At his words, the women’s faces darkened, and they spoke in unison.
“Scoundrel!”
Liu Chuang, running the situation over in his mind, waved his hands helplessly, his voice dry.
“Things aren’t what you think.”
The women shot him a cold glance but said nothing more. One by one, they left the room. Ruimengmeng, walking last, turned back with a disappointed look.
“I never expected you to be like this, Chuang… sigh.”
With their departure, the atmosphere in the room fell silent. Feeling the responsibility of a man, and harboring feelings for He Weilan, Liu Chuang put on a serious expression and spoke solemnly.
“Weilan, I will take responsibility.”
His words hung in the air, and silence returned.
Then He Weilan stood up. Just as Liu Chuang bowed his head, bracing for a slap, He Weilan’s cheeks flushed lightly. She stepped in front of him, her eyes first complex, then softened to a look of relief.
Liu Chuang, preparing to accept her anger, stood rigid, slightly turning his face so his beloved could strike easily.
Noticing this, He Weilan smiled, cupped Liu Chuang’s face with both hands, and fixed her gaze on his eyes.
“Would you ever betray our country?”
Though puzzled by her question, Liu Chuang answered resolutely.
“I am the Great Wall One. You’d have to step over my dead body to betray the motherland.”
“Good. Then I’ll trust you this time.”
Looking into Liu Chuang’s steadfast and sincere eyes, she gently embraced his waist, her flushed face pressed against his chest.
In that moment, Liu Chuang’s heart raced wildly, his hands unsure where to rest. Is this what it feels like to be trusted? No, this is happiness.
