Bai Feiyu took a deep breath, then opened Song Yunfei’s storage pouch. It had to be said, as an inner disciple, Song Yunfei’s storage pouch was indeed impressive—at least thirty cubic feet in capacity. However, the contents were pitifully sparse; apart from a sword, a few manuals, and some healing pills, there was almost nothing else.

Bai Feiyu sighed inwardly. It seemed Song Yunfei hadn’t been an inner disciple for long and had likely spent all his assets on these few items. Still, it wasn’t a complete loss; at the very least, Bai Feiyu was in need of a good sword.

After extracting the sword, Bai Feiyu left that place. By now, the end of the trial was near. He considered wandering the secret realm further, but decided it would be pointless and resolved to leave as soon as possible. Once outside, he would look for opportunities to improve his strength.

The sound of rustling leaves accompanied Bai Feiyu as he made his way toward the exit. The path was clear, but just as he was about to reach the entrance, he spotted three outer disciples ahead, sighing dejectedly.

Bai Feiyu ignored them and continued toward the exit. Most outer disciples in the sect didn’t fare well; these three unfortunates likely had nothing to show for their efforts. But what was that to him? He had no intention of pitying them. In truth, even if he wanted to, he probably couldn’t afford to.

“Hey, you! Stop right there!” As Bai Feiyu was about to walk past, the chubbiest of the three caught sight of him and barked a command.

“Is there something you need?” Bai Feiyu halted and looked at them.

“Kid, did you find anything in the secret realm?” The trio closed in, emboldened by Bai Feiyu’s solitary presence. No one else was around, and this young man’s cheerful demeanor suggested he’d had some luck. At the very least, the sword at his waist was worth a fair sum—robbing him would be a windfall.

Hearing their blunt words, Bai Feiyu smiled faintly and replied, “Yes, as you’ve guessed, my gains were quite substantial. This time, luck was truly on my side…”

He wore an air of smugness as he addressed the three.

“Oh?” The trio exchanged surprised glances. They’d met fools before, but never one quite like this. They’d been planning to threaten him, but now he’d openly admitted to his fortune. Given that they had gained nothing and this lone youth had struck it rich, their resentment toward him rose. Initially, they’d planned to let him go if he surrendered his loot. But since he was inviting trouble, they wouldn't hold back.

“Hand over everything you found inside—and that sword of yours! If you know what’s good for you, hurry up. Some things aren’t meant for the likes of you!” the chubby one growled.

“You want my things?” Bai Feiyu feigned shock. “But I refuse to give them to you!”

“Why, you little—!” The trio bristled with anger. This fellow must really not know what’s good for him.

Just as they were about to make their move, a melodious voice sounded from behind Bai Feiyu. Turning, he saw Qian Shuang approaching with several inner disciples. By coincidence, Bai Feiyu recognized them all—they had witnessed his duel with Chen Xuan earlier.

“What a coincidence!” Bai Feiyu greeted them with a cheerful laugh.

“Junior Brother, are you in trouble?” Qian Shuang glanced at the three, instantly grasping the situation. In the sect, conflict among disciples within secret realms was commonplace—robberies like this happened all the time. These three didn’t look like upstanding characters.

Her gaze grew a touch amused; of all people to target, they’d chosen Bai Feiyu. Did they not realize he was the one who had defeated Chen Xuan? How could three outer disciples hope to contend with him?

“That’s right, Senior Sister, you must stand up for me!” Bai Feiyu affected a pitiful look, pointing at the trio. “These three are simply outrageous—trying to rob me of my belongings. I’ve never met such despicable people! Everyone works hard in the secret realm, but these three not only laze about, they even resort to theft. It’s disgraceful.”

“Senior Sister, as the daughter of the sect master, you must uphold justice for me!” Bai Feiyu played his part to the hilt, tears welling up as he accused the three, “Not only did they rob me of thirty spirit stones, they even claimed that not even the sect master dares cross them—that they’re the tyrants of the sect!”

The trio was stunned. The arrival of the inner disciples had already cowed them—they knew that robbing someone in front of inner disciples would earn them a swift escort to the elders for punishment. But to have run afoul of the sect master’s daughter herself—what rotten luck!

“Injustice, Senior Sister! We didn’t—” one of them protested weakly.

“Hurry and give me back my thirty spirit stones, or I’ll have Senior Sister deal with you!” Bai Feiyu’s tone was mournful, enough to move anyone to tears.

Qian Shuang was speechless. It was obvious what had happened; these three likely hadn’t even gotten the chance to rob him yet, otherwise they wouldn’t be standing here unharmed. As for the thirty spirit stones—outer disciples received only five per month, enough for Bai Feiyu to save up for six months. For them, five spirit stones a month was barely enough to scrape by—who would carry so many at once?

“Senior Sister, these three are simply audacious! You mustn’t let this slide. Not only did they try to rob me, they even insulted the sect master. Such crimes must be dealt with severely!”

Qian Shuang was startled by his outburst, but quickly raised a hand to calm him. “All right, Junior Brother, I’ll see to it that justice is done…”

“Thank you, Senior Sister! Don’t forget to help me recover my thirty spirit stones. You truly are the embodiment of mercy!” Bai Feiyu instantly changed his tone, fawning over her.

The trio blanched. Thirty spirit stones! Did they really have to pay him?
