125. Carnal Relations Between Men
The breeze blew wantonly, stirring the strands of their hair. Between her silk-like black tresses and his dark locks, the strands entwined from the tips upward, carrying a deadly, clinging intimacy. Yet, Gu Fei could clearly see—within You Hu’s phoenix eyes, there was only icy coldness.
In the depths of his abyss-like pupils, she could see only her own shrunken reflection. Beyond that, there was nothing else; not even the wind could stir a ripple. He was like a man born without any emotion, cold and hard as stone.
A strand of hair fell onto her neck. Her porcelain-white skin, already bruised by Mo Geyi’s grip, tingled with a mix of numbness and a delicate itch. She narrowed her almond eyes, thinking to herself—this was the true You Hu!
There was no playful banter, no joy, no calculation—only a coldness so profound it was absolute. Because of his inherent power, he had no need for coercion. Just as he had said, if Gu Fei were to agree, her deep-seated vendettas would naturally be avenged by him. Of course, the prerequisite was Gu Fei’s "non-defiance."
Gu Fei curled her lips, her pale, pink mouth stained an enchanting, eerie red by droplets of blood. She looked up, gazing deep into his eyes, and replied with every word articulated clearly, "This... is your true face."
"Non-defiance? Obedience?" She murmured, her lips moving like a swimming fish. "Do you really think I would agree to be the fish on the chopping block while you are the knife?"
"As for vengeance? It only counts if I exact it with my own hands." Her gaze shifted slightly, landing pointedly on Mo Geyi. "I do not care to investigate what you hope to gain by staying by my side, but rest assured, if one day you stand in my way, you shall be my mortal enemy as well!"
She spoke the final sentence with ironclad resolve, each word sharp as a blade cutting into flesh, dripping with killing intent.
You Hu remained expressionless. He stared at Gu Fei, his posture unchanged, remaining as still as a statue for so long that it felt as if time had frozen. Had it been any other girl, someone less keen than Gu Fei, they might have been so overcome with shyness by such a focused gaze that they would have mistaken that peerlessly handsome visage for deep, hidden affection.
"The Mo family of Dajing is a two-hundred-year-old dynasty. To topple them is not a matter of a single day; I fear it is something you could never hope to achieve in this lifetime. Therefore," You Hu paused. He reached out, his thumb gently massaging Gu Fei’s small, pointed chin, as if to soothe the marks left by Mo Geyi. "Think carefully, girl. With your own strength, you nearly lost your life just dealing with Mo Geyi alone. If..."
He left the rest unsaid. The hand caressing her chin paused, and as he stared at her, a ghostly light flickered in his phoenix eyes.
Gu Fei’s breath hitched. In this moment, You Hu felt utterly like a stranger to her. She stared back, unblinking. "What are your conditions? What do you want me to do?" She refused the path of "obedience" he had proposed, turning instead to negotiate.
You Hu withdrew his hand. A faint flush suddenly appeared on his face. He covered his mouth with one hand and began to cough violently. His frail frame hunched over, and as his silk-like black hair fell forward, his expression was obscured from view.
Gu Fei frowned. She knew You Hu was in poor health, but it seemed his condition had worsened since he had left and returned.
After a long while, You Hu caught his breath. He discreetly wiped his lips, hid his hand behind his back, and looked at her with burning intensity, his cheeks still flushed from the coughing fit. "It is simple: be my sharp spear!"
He had used the word "I" instead of the humble "this lowly one." Gu Fei keenly grasped his meaning: he was speaking to her as his true self, not merely under the guise of You Hu.
"Of course, to be a spear, one must never defy!" He remained fixated on this point. He had always used thunderous means to destroy any person or matter not under his control; his leniency toward Gu Fei was already an exception.
Gu Fei was unaware of this, but she understood one thing clearly: she would never be willing to be controlled, nor would she submit to a relationship devoid of benefit. Between people, she believed only in the word "profit."
Receiving no reply, You Hu seemed to guess her thoughts by her expression. He spread his hands, his phoenix eyes curving into a smile. "You still have some time to consider, girl. I am in no rush for now." The implication was clear: he would not give her much time.
Since they could not reach an accord, Gu Fei took the opportunity to step down, choosing not to dwell on it. Many things would resolve themselves in time.
You Hu glanced sideways at the still-unconscious Mo Geyi and asked with an ambiguous smile, "Girl, how do you intend to dispose of him? If you wish to sever the tendons of his limbs, I am more than happy to do the honors."
Gu Fei shook her head, a cold, icy smile blooming on her face. "No need. Just wake him up first."
You Hu signaled to You Er, who stepped forward and prodded Mo Geyi’s body with a few sharp movements. Soon, Mo Geyi was groaning in pain. Seeing that there was no more for him to do, You Er retrieved the injured and unconscious White Egret, gathered the shattered wooden pieces of the wheelchair back into the carriage, and then retreated out of sight.
Gu Fei acted as if she did not notice that she and You Hu were the only ones left in the forest. She watched as Mo Geyi slowly regained consciousness. She calmly gathered her hair, coiled it up with her fingers, and secured it with a black-gold obsidian fox hairpin.
"You wretch..." Upon opening his eyes and seeing Gu Fei, Mo Geyi began to curse. The pain in his legs surged through his entire body, causing a rattling sound in his throat. He stared at Gu Fei with such hatred he looked ready to devour her.
Gu Fei straightened a stray lock of hair behind her ear, looking down at him with a faint smile. "Brother Geyi, how do you plan to return to Dajing now?" She glanced meaningfully at the wounds on his legs, where the flesh was torn, the tendons severed, and scarlet blood had pooled on the ground.
Mo Geyi dared not look down. He dug his fingers into the dirt, his teeth grinding in hatred.
Gu Fei sighed. She spotted Ada nearby and said to You Hu, "If he is of no use, kill him."
You Hu smiled. He walked a few steps, returned to Gu Fei’s side, and reached out to pluck the black-gold fox hairpin from her hair. Her freshly coiled locks cascaded down like a waterfall, completely undone once more.
Gu Fei arched an eyebrow, saying nothing. She continued to look at Mo Geyi. "Without money, without servants, without a carriage, and with your legs injured, Brother Geyi, I think it would be best to sell yourself for silver."
Mo Geyi gasped for air, his voice dripping with blood as he hissed, "You wretch, you dare!"
At that moment, she glanced at Ada. You Hu strolled over, flicked his wrist holding the hairpin, and walked back. Only then did Gu Fei see blood slowly seeping from Ada’s neck. It was a single, precise strike—instant death.
You Hu arrived at Mo Geyi’s side, nudged him with his toe, and asked, "Shall I finish the job and scrap the other limbs too?"
Gu Fei shook her head. She laughed, her eyes as clear and pure as a child’s. "That won't do. Since his legs are ruined, I want him to keep those hands. I want him to use that meager ink-making skill of his to cling to the final, illusory hope of being the eldest son who succeeds as the master of the Mo family."
"One day, when I return to Dajing, I will personally shatter that remaining hope..."
"I want him to taste this despair every night—the despair of going from possession to loss, from a high position to hell. Not just him, but Mo Qingge and everyone in the Mo family who pinned their hopes on him will suffer as well. Such torment is the only way to appease my resentment!"
Gu Fei chuckled, her almond eyes curving like crescent moons, every word venomous and ruthless. Mo Geyi’s eyes widened in profound shock. He knew her intentions—by leaving his hands intact, she was merely giving him a false lifeline. When he clung to it tightly, she would slowly tear it away, watching him fall from his pedestal, humiliated and desperate.
But it didn't end there. Gu Fei stroked her smooth hair and whispered, "Besides, Brother Geyi, would it be alright if I sold you to a brothel madam to pay for my travel expenses back to the capital?"
Mo Geyi was so furious that blood surged in his chest. As he opened his mouth, blood trickled from the corner of his lips. "I am the eldest son of the Dajing Mo family! Who would dare treat me this way!"
As if hearing a joke, Gu Fei gave a mocking laugh. "The eldest son of the Mo family? You need someone to believe that first. Otherwise, a handsome young male prostitute for sale will only be treated as a madman."
The words "male prostitute" caused Mo Geyi’s pupils to shrink to pinpricks. Even You Hu, who had been listening with interest, looked at Gu Fei with surprise.
Gu Fei did not seem to be joking. Her expression was serious, her brows slightly furrowed in thought. "I remember back in Dajing, Brother Geyi was adored by many young ladies. If you were a male prostitute, you should be able to earn travel money quite quickly."
She clapped her hands, her eyes narrowing. "Don't worry, Brother Geyi, I will certainly find you a good madam who won't mistreat you."
"Wretch, wretch, how dare you, how dare you..." Mo Geyi grabbed a handful of dirt and threw it at Gu Fei.
Gu Fei did not dodge. Her face turned cold, and her dark eyes brimmed with satisfaction. "When Mo Qingge had people humiliate my brother, did she ever think you would face this day? I made a vow long ago: for every bit of shame my brother endured, I will exact it back from you two siblings, one by one."
She calmly brushed the dirt from her clothes, her eyes filled with mockery. "Don't worry. I hear that for someone with a handsome face like yours, the patrons will treat you quite well. They certainly won't let you lose any limbs."
Her expression shifted, turning cold as ice. "Go back and tell Mo Qingge to wait—this is only the beginning!"
Mo Geyi knew that if Gu Fei said she would sell him, she would do it. Beneath his uncontrollable hatred was a growing sense of panic. As the legitimate eldest son of the prestigious Mo family, meant to inherit the estate, if it were known he had been a male prostitute, he would never recover. He would lose not only the inheritance but his very status as the eldest son.
"Sister Fei, I beg you. We grew up as siblings after all. I was blind in the past. When I return, I will punish Mo Qingge, I will make her kneel and apologize to you—just let me go..." He began to beg, his voice soft. Faced with the loss of everything, Mo Geyi chose the path of least resistance, even if it meant groveling before Gu Fei.
Gu Fei’s mockery deepened. She remembered that day when she had begged Mo Qingge the same way, asking her to spare her brother, Mo Xuan, promising to serve her thereafter. And yet?
So, she said only one thing to Mo Geyi: "Brother Geyi, there is no need to thank me too much. I hear that intimacy between men is even more addictive than with women. When you are feeling physically and mentally satisfied in the future, do remember your sister's decision today."
