Chapter 58: Jojo's Power Is Simply Remarkable!
The moment he laid eyes on the twin monsters, a raging fire of anger blazed within Fuyuan’s heart! He dashed headlong toward the two beasts.
But just as he was about to reach them, an anxious voice called out, “Fuyuan! Come back now!”
Hearing Baizi’s voice, Fuyuan’s impulsive mind suddenly snapped to clarity as he realized—he was no match for them yet, and Baizi would nearly die because of him once again!
The first episode of Leo had been terrifying, filmed as though it were the grand finale; Qiao Zhe remembered it vividly. The information Qiao Zhe had provided was thorough, so Fuyuan could now judge the situation.
Suppressing his fury, he cast a hateful glare at the twin monsters, halted his steps, and turned to sprint back toward Baizi.
“We have to get out of here! Run!” Fuyuan grabbed Baizi by the wrist and pulled her toward the people from the South City Gymnasium.
According to the information from Jojo, if he transformed and fought now, he was bound to fail. The enemies he’d face weren’t just the twin monsters—there was also the Magma Alien!
Facing such odds, he would end up fighting alone and losing, and Baizi, in her search for him, would be driven to the brink of death.
Moreover, though Fuyuan had his memories, his body had yet to master Ripple energy.
For all these reasons, he forced himself to remain calm.
At this time, Omura and the others from the South City Gym were also fleeing with the children.
As Fuyuan led Baizi to rejoin Omura’s group, he steadily regulated his breathing. When a surge of power welled up inside him, his face lit up with delight!
Fuyuan had always been a rare genius in martial arts. Now, with his anger, his desire to protect his beloved, and his frustration at his own powerlessness all intermingling, Fuyuan’s will became all the stronger.
And since Jojo had held nothing back, Fuyuan had learned quickly.
As he mastered the Ripple’s power, a flood of combat techniques filled his mind.
He suddenly looked back into the distance—the twin monsters were still wreaking havoc, summoning tsunamis!
Casting a worried glance at Baizi, Fuyuan spoke with grave determination, “Baizi! Leave with Omura and the others! I have to go back!”
“But Fuyuan, it’s too dangerous!” Baizi’s face was etched with worry.
Omura also urged him, “Fuyuan, you should leave too—it’s far too dangerous!”
“Don’t be reckless, Fuyuan!” Nomura added, his expression anxious.
Just then, the Umeda siblings, who were particularly close to Fuyuan, clung to his sleeves. “Big Brother Fuyuan, don’t go!”
“Don’t go back, Brother Fuyuan!”
“That’s right, it’s too dangerous!” other children echoed, their eyes pleading with him not to return and face the twin monsters.
“I have a reason I must go!” Fuyuan gently pried the Umeda siblings’ hands free, his gaze sweeping over everyone.
“Baizi, you must live!”
“Nomura, President Omura, Kotou, Koka, all of you—live!”
“And I will live too!”
Turning to face the twin monsters, Fuyuan’s voice brimmed with resolve. “For my sake! For Earth! For humanity!”
With those words, golden arcs of Ripple energy encircled Fuyuan’s legs as he sprinted straight toward the monsters.
The surging waves swallowed him, and suddenly, a brilliant light erupted!
“Leo!”
A crimson giant soared into the sky, flipping in midair as the battle cry from the Showa Ultraman era resounded: “Iyaa!”
Energy gathered at his red foot, and a Leo flying kick struck Black Guilas!
Sparks burst in all directions!
Knocking Black Guilas over, Leo leapt atop the monster, raising two fingers high!
Channeling Ripple power into his fingertips, he drove them mercilessly into Black Guilas’s eyes!
With a wretched scream, blood gushed from Black Guilas’s sockets—its eyes blinded on the spot.
Red Guilas charged, but Leo sprang up and kicked it back!
Taking advantage as Red Guilas reeled, Leo scooped up a handful of seawater.
In the next instant, the Ripple-infused water split into a barrage of golden spikes, shooting toward Red Guilas’s head like bullets!
Blinded by the relentless assault, Red Guilas clutched its eyes and howled, blood streaming down its face.
Seeing both monsters blinded, Leo retreated and began gathering energy as Jojo had instructed.
But the Magma Alien, lurking in the clouds, panicked when it saw the twin monsters blinded and unable to locate Leo.
It leapt from the storm clouds, conjuring a longsword and lunging at Leo!
But Leo, now aware of the story, was ready for just such a sneak attack.
The moment the Magma Alien appeared, Leo sensed its presence, and his Leo bracelet flashed with light!
A massive black cloth materialized and Leo hurled it at the oncoming Magma Alien!
Blinded by the cloth, the Magma Alien crashed into the sea, swinging its sword wildly and quickly slicing the fabric apart.
Yet the Magma Alien failed to realize that Leo, remembering Jojo’s teachings, had circled behind it while it struggled. The energy in his hand spun rapidly!
As soon as the Magma Alien’s head broke free, it was blinded by a sudden flash.
Leo’s Eightfold Light Wheel sliced the Magma Alien’s head clean off!
The head dropped into the sea, and the Magma Alien’s body went rigid—it could think no longer.
Still unsatisfied, Leo brought the Eightfold Light Wheel down again, splitting the Magma Alien’s body in two!
The corpse fell into the sea and exploded.
Meanwhile, the twin monsters still stumbled around, arms outstretched.
Seeing them trying to move closer, as if to embrace for the Guilas Rotation, Leo leapt forward.
Landing beside them, he swung his arms—the Eightfold Light Wheel sliced swiftly through, severing both monsters’ heads from their bodies.
After transforming into Ultraman, Fuyuan’s breathing shifted to an internal mode. Now, with the Ripple’s power restoring him, his energy endurance was greatly extended; not even the timer’s warning light appeared.
The twin monsters’ bodies exploded in a thunderous blast.
As the Eightfold Light Wheel dissipated, Leo gazed at the scene, his heart surging with emotion.
“Jojo! I did it! The method you taught me works so well! I really did it!”
Elsewhere, on a patch of beach untouched by the waves, Dan Moroboshi had witnessed the entire battle, his face filled with shock.
“Could I have been mistaken? Leo actually won... No, his fighting style—”
Dan Moroboshi fell into deep thought, realizing Leo’s combat style was now entirely different.
“Something must have happened. But as long as he can win, that’s all that matters!”
By whatever means, if it defeated the enemy, it was a good method.
Leo also noticed Dan Moroboshi, but after a moment’s thought, chose to check on Baizi first.
Since the captain hadn’t used Ultra Telepathy and looked perfectly well, Fuyuan decided Baizi was more important.
As for the captain, he could deal with him later.
