Chapter 147: My Dream: I Saw Great-Grandmother Waving to Me
Page 1/3
Fujimiya watching the person in the video felt as if he were confronting his own embarrassing past. He could hardly bear it, as if ants were crawling all over his body.
Am I really that stupid?
Even if I was deceived by Crisis at the beginning, there’s no way I didn’t react at all throughout, right?
I can’t have been that blind!
No way! Absolutely no way!
Fujimiya, who found it impossible to believe he could be that foolish, was one hundred percent skeptical about the content playing on the disc.
Myu shared the same thoughts as Fujimiya.
The Gaia shown on this disc was like a living executioner to the native Earth monsters.
Logically, although the first Earth monster Kilu was indeed turned to ash without his knowledge, how could he not have realized something was wrong after such a long time?
That didn’t resemble his clever mind at all.
The expressions on their faces made Jojo’s lips twitch into a smile he couldn’t suppress.
Risa Nanase seemed to notice something and looked at Myu and Fujimiya: “Haven’t you realized? My father isn’t in this at all.”
Hearing this, Myu turned to Jojo.
“Yeah, Jojo, why aren’t you in it?”
Though reluctant to admit it, most of what was shown on the disc resembled their own situation, so it was likely true.
Jojo, noticing their puzzled looks, spread his hands: “Did you forget? I’m from another world.”
Even in the Nexis world, he was a reincarnation; without his memories and cheat panel, he would just be an ordinary bystander.
“So, there’s only one truth,” Risa Nanase said, looking as if she understood, casting a disdainful glance at Myu and Fujimiya. “If—”
Jojo interrupted by placing his hand on her head.
“Alright, let’s keep watching and learn more about the enemy we face.”
Risa looked up in confusion at Jojo.
This was clearly her father’s accomplishment, so why wouldn’t he let her speak?
Jojo pressed the play button on the computer and felt Risa’s gaze.
He gently rubbed her head and said, “Don’t think of yourself as a hero. When you think that way, you go against your original intention.”
There was no “if.” Even without Jojo’s involvement, Myu and Fujimiya would eventually realize something was off about Crisis.
His arrival only turned some tragedies into something normal.

For example, Inamori wouldn’t be forced to see the change in humanity and choose extreme control over monsters, resulting in death; Gaia wouldn’t have to fight Aguru.
But none of this needed to be said—they did what they felt was necessary.
“Oh,” Risa said, half understanding, but since it was her father’s teaching, she obediently took note.
The video on the disc continued playing, but Myu and Fujimiya felt restless inside.
Jojo didn’t care much, but they felt the help and silently kept it in their hearts.
If, at this moment, an unprecedented powerful enemy appeared, and the three of them couldn’t defeat it, Myu and Fujimiya would probably have to perform a Zeppeli-style collaboration.
“Jojo! This is my last light. Take it!”
The insect arrow was Jojo’s number one cheat. After experimenting with mice, he found it was completely under his control.
In other words, restrictions could be placed on the insect arrow—like the earlier concerns about Myu’s awakened Stand, it could appear only on Myu’s body.
After Myu awakened his Stand, neither his parents nor future descendants would awaken a Stand.
This kind of limitation to prevent proliferation was exactly what Jojo wanted.
But when Myu learned what awakening a Stand entailed, his expression was full of resistance.
“Jojo, isn’t there any other way?”
Looking at the sharp blade on the insect arrow in Jojo’s hand, Myu swallowed nervously.
If this thing pierced his neck, it would surely kill him!
“Do you still want to awaken your Stand?” Jojo tossed the arrow and looked at Myu: “Don’t worry, I don’t think you’ll die.”
Myu: “...”
That’s what you think! Who the hell would stab themselves in the neck with an arrow for fun?
Fujimiya, however, remained calm and looked at Jojo: “Stabbing the neck with this arrow will awaken a Stand like yours, right?”
His eyes gleamed with anticipation, clearly not afraid of death.
“Calm down, Fujimiya!” Myu grabbed his arm.
Damn, you’re ruthless!
The relentless type is relentless—he showed no hesitation and glanced at Myu before asking: “Do you think we can beat Zog now?”
After watching the Gaia Ultraman disc, Fujimiya felt his strength was seriously lacking.
He desperately wanted to improve to feel some security.
As for relying on Jojo, that was never something Fujimiya would consider.
The relentless type always preferred to bear everything alone.
Page 3/3
He was the kind of person who only sought help when all else failed.
Myu glanced at Jojo unconsciously but recalled his advice and compared it to his own strength.
His expression was helpless: “We can’t win.”
“Zog is the ultimate weapon,” Fujimiya said after watching the disc, gaining a rough understanding of the Annihilation Invader: “But Zog isn’t the true Annihilation Invader.”
“What happens on the disc is only a reference; reality can change.”
Fujimiya’s gaze fixed on Myu.
“If you’re afraid to die, then give me Gaia’s power. I’ll protect the Earth.”
Myu’s mouth twisted in anger—who was afraid of death?
He grit his teeth and looked at Jojo, resolutely saying, “Come on, Jojo! Stab my neck!”
His words sounded like a brave sacrifice, but the phrase was awkward.
Jojo didn’t waste time and threw the insect arrow he held!
A cold gleam flashed!
Suddenly, Myu felt his breathing grow difficult, followed by intense pain in his neck!
He widened his eyes, looking at Jojo, struggling to breathe in agony.
He tried to speak but couldn’t, only able to choke and cough.
“Why did you throw it so fast? I haven’t taken out the sapphire cone yet!”
The insect arrow pierced into Myu’s throat; he instinctively grabbed his neck, unable to use his ripple power, overwhelmed by suffocating pain!
Myu collapsed to the ground and reached into his pocket for the sapphire cone.
Jojo had told him beforehand that transforming into Ultraman made him immune to death.
At this moment, Myu truly felt death closing in.
His eyes rolled back as if he saw his great-grandmother beckoning him.
Blood poured from his neck, staining his shirt red; he felt his hands losing strength, unable to unzip his XIG uniform.
Yet, the closer one is to death, the more willpower sharpens—mental strength was the key to awakening the Stand!
