Chapter 106: You’re Really Acting Me Out!

Fujiya was utterly exhausted, feeling as if his body was trembling uncontrollably. I, sharing his experience, was equally drained, yet both of us gritted our teeth and pressed on. When we looked upward, ready to advance once more, we noticed something different—this time, no tree trunk was falling.
“Finally, is this almost over?”
At that moment, Fujiya believed Jojo had a change of heart and ceased his attacks, thinking the final stretch would be free of ambushes. I breathed a sigh of relief, too. Although we knew this was all part of Jojo’s training, continuing any longer seemed unbearable.
Yet, as we both paused to catch our breath, a shadow slowly descended above us. Suddenly, we looked up sharply.
A colossal tree, large enough to require two people to encircle it, stretching across the entire waterfall, was descending toward Fujiya and me at an impossibly slow pace!
This was Star Platinum holding it up, controlling its descent.
Seeing the massive tree falling, even with my mindset, I couldn’t keep calm.
“Jojo! What are you doing?”
We had managed to dodge the previous attacks, but how could we avoid this?
Jojo merely reminded us: “You’re just a little distance from the finish line. This is the last challenge!”
“Use your brains to overcome difficulty, or do you plan to start over?”
Hearing this, Fujiya glanced down at the pool hundreds of meters below.
Who wants to start over, you bastard!
Damn it! We’re so close!
I shared the same thought. Both of us stared at the slowly approaching giant tree, its descent clearly unnatural.
The slow speed gave us time to think.
But not for long—the tree was drawing closer!
As we quickly pondered, realization struck, and we exchanged a nod.
Fujiya and I began moving toward each other. As the distance between us closed, the enormous tree was about to crush us both!
“Ishigami!” Fujiya grabbed my arm with one hand, while the other adhered to the rock wall using Ripple energy.
In the brief moment I could move, I raised my free hand, the edge of my palm gathering golden Ripple energy.
“Sever it!”
With a palm imbued with Ripple power, I struck the middle of the gigantic tree.
The Ripple energy condensed into a sharp line, slicing through it like a blade.

Fujiya quickly pulled my body close to his, reducing our combined profile.
The severed giant tree passed by us and crashed into the pool below.
After that strike, I was completely drained, gasping for breath, my breathing utterly erratic.
Suddenly, I felt Fujiya’s grip on my arm slip downward.
“Hey, Fujiya! Hold on tighter!”
My face immediately filled with alarm.
I hadn’t yet recovered and had no strength left.
Fujiya concentrated Ripple energy in both hands—one adhered to the rock wall, the other gripping my arm.
Hearing my words, he looked down and sneered sarcastically, “Ishigami, maybe I should just drop you now. It’d be easier for me.”
Despite the words, Fujiya showed no intention of letting go.
“Don’t, Fujiya!” I said urgently. If I fell, even if I survived, I’d surely be broken.
Fujiya’s stamina was rapidly depleting, especially carrying someone else.
“Shut up! Use Ripple now!”
What was Ishigami doing? He was about to give out.
Hearing this, I adjusted my breathing and summoned Ripple energy again; my body slowly began to recover.
Finally, cooperating one last time, we climbed to the top of the waterfall.
But facing the sheer force of the crashing water, we had no strength left to cross to the other side.
At that moment, unseen, Star Platinum grabbed both Fujiya and me by the shoulders, carrying us toward the shore.
“Jojo.”
Feeling myself lifted, I knew we were safe; my body relaxed completely.
This must be Jojo’s Stand holding me.
Seeing me like this, Jojo praised, “You can still talk? You look spirited.”
I was puzzled.
Dude, don’t you have any conscience saying that?
I didn’t reply, focusing instead on restoring my strength with Ripple.
Fujiya glared at Jojo, eyes practically stabbing him.
“What are you looking at?” Jojo raised an eyebrow at Fujiya’s gaze. “Or do you want to keep training?”
His words darkened Fujiya’s expression; he said nothing and quietly regained his strength.
At the shore, Star Platinum set us down, then returned to Jojo’s body and vanished.
“You’ve mastered Ripple well. The rest of your training depends on your own will.”
With that, Jojo turned to leave.

“Wait!” Fujiya called after Jojo, having regained some strength; he wasn’t about to let this go. “Jojo! That’s not over! I want to duel you!”
We had been climbing smoothly, but the sudden increase in difficulty nearly forced us to start over.
Though it was training, Fujiya couldn’t swallow his frustration.
Jojo glanced back, releasing Ultra Psychic energy; from the rushing river, he pulled out a ball of water and threw it directly at Fujiya.
Fujiya instinctively extended both hands as Ripple energy spread across them.
The water ball was caught between his hands like a sphere.
“My Ripple has become more focused!”
Looking at the water ball, Fujiya was surprised.
What he couldn’t do before, he now did easily.
Jojo’s voice came then: “The closer you push your body to its limits, the more it strengthens your Ripple.”
“Tempering your willpower allows Ripple to concentrate more easily.”
Fujiya pondered Jojo’s words as he stared at the water ball.
Ishigami, having regained some strength, stood and quickly scooped a water ball from the river.
A golden energy shimmered around it, and he smiled foolishly.
Finally, he had superpowers too!
Before Ishigami could thank Jojo, Jojo had already used a teleportation curtain and left.
The EX unit hovered nearby; we had no worries about returning.
Night was slowly falling.
At ten o’clock sharp, Jojo went to bed and entered the Subspace to continue developing his skills.
But as soon as he entered, golden streams of light filled the space.
The golden light converged midair, forming a Y-shaped energy core.
An immense silver giant with wings sprouting from its back materialized.
Jojo was baffled.
Seeing Noah in this complete form, there was no sign of weakness.
“Wait, you were pretending to be me before!?”
“You old trickster!”
Noah looked down at Jojo, avoiding the question.
After sending Jojo to Earth, he had gone to other worlds to recover swiftly—not really pretending, just not telling Jojo.
Reaching out, he summoned an image of the Nexus world into the Subspace.
“Jojo, the Aberrant Beasts are beginning to spread. The planet you were born on needs your help!”
