The alarms at the airborne base blared incessantly.

Inside the command room.

Ishimuro and Tsutsumi stood behind Atsuko and Joji, their expressions grave as they watched the monitoring screens.

“What’s happening?” Chiba approached and asked.

Atsuko turned to report, “The ground link has been cut off. We can’t reach Jo Tetsu or Iyu anymore.”

“What!?” Chiba’s heart skipped a beat.

Accustomed to relying on the two scientists, Chiba felt uneasy without them present during this enemy incursion.

“There’s ionospheric interference disrupting the signals,” Joji identified the problem and switched channels. “I’ll try optical communication!”

Atsuko noticed fluctuating patterns on the monitor and quickly reported, “Commander! We’ve detected a wormhole!”

The satellite imagery was displayed on the main screen, showing space ripples forming outside Earth’s atmosphere.

A massive Gob manufacturing pod was being transported through the wormhole into outer space.

Chiba’s face registered shock at the sight. “What exactly is this? A monster or a spaceship?”

“Atsuko, how large is it?” Ishimuro inquired.

After a rough calculation using scanning equipment, Atsuko replied, “Approximately eight hundred meters long.”

At that moment, the command room door opened automatically.

Chiba turned to see Jo Tetsu entering and immediately felt relieved.

With a scientist present, they could identify the enemy and devise a countermeasure.

Jo Tetsu strode directly to the main screen and looked at Tsutsumi. “Director Tsutsumi, have the Lightning, Cool Dragon, and Falcon teams assemble here.”

Taking command with practiced ease, he instructed Tsutsumi to notify the three teams.

“I’ll call them right away,” Tsutsumi responded, accustomed to such orders.

Still uncertain about the enemy’s nature, Chiba asked directly, “Do you know what that thing is?”

“It’s a Gob incubation pod,” Jo Tetsu said, glancing at Joji. “Adjust the electromagnetic waves emitted from it.”

“All right!” Joji responded and began operating.

Ishimuro studied the enormous ship-like pod on the main screen with a grave expression. “So, this is a large factory for producing Gobs!”

Chiba furrowed his brow. “Is this an attack by the Destruction Summoner?”

“If so many Gobs land on Earth, our forces will struggle to resist.”

A look of worry crossed his face at the thought.

“To be precise, Gobs aren’t the Destruction Summoner itself,” Jo Tetsu said, drawing Ishimuro and Chiba’s attention.

“It’s the Destruction Summoner’s scheme — placing Gob eggs from other planets into manufacturing pods, then transporting them to Earth through wormholes.”

“These modified Gobs naturally adapt to the invaded planet’s environment and destroy human cities to build nests!”

Ishimuro pondered, grasping Jo Tetsu’s meaning.

“So the Gobs are being exploited. But what exactly is the Destruction Summoner?”

“I don’t know,” Jo Tetsu admitted gravely. “But if we don’t figure it out, the Destruction Summoner’s wormholes will keep us on the defensive.”

If only they knew where the Destruction Summoner’s lair was, they could do much more.

Sadly, neither the TV series nor the movies have explained this.

“We’re already researching wormholes,” Chiba said knowingly, “but it’s still under development. Hopefully, we’ll understand it soon so we can launch a counterattack.”

The scientists of Gaia Earth were formidable experts.

Jo Tetsu had a way to open wormholes but wasn’t sure if it could break through the enemy’s wormhole defenses.

Without certainty, recklessness in battle was a fatal mistake that could lead to total defeat.

He needed more time to develop at least a method to ‘undo’ moves before probing the enemy.

The Earth situation was stable now; there was no need to rush into dangerous gambits.

The command room doors opened again.

The Lightning, Cool Dragon, and Falcon teams entered in orderly formation.

Joji finished adjusting the electromagnetic waves and switched the image to the main screen. “Jo Tetsu, the corrected interference image is ready!”

Chiba’s expression turned startled.

On the main screen, numerous Gob larvae writhed inside their eggs.

Jo Tetsu’s heart sank, his tone ambiguous. “Like humans on Earth, monsters also have young.”

If these were adult monsters arriving, Jo Tetsu could steel himself to wipe them out, but the larvae stirred difficult emotions within him.

Sometimes, knowing the truth made one think even more deeply.

“If your theory is correct,” Ishimuro said, looking at Jo Tetsu as if understanding his feelings, “then these Gob larvae are all innocent victims exploited by the Destruction Summoner, right?”

“Exactly,” Jo Tetsu answered solemnly, but resolved, “Even so, we cannot afford to show mercy!”

“We must destroy this manufacturing factory along with the monster larvae inside!”

Ishimuro and Jo Tetsu exchanged glances, seemingly understanding his determination.

Then Ishimuro turned to the three teams.

“This is the Destruction Summoner’s plot. We must adopt a firm stance.”

“If we show leniency now, they will use wormholes again to send another wave of monsters next time!”

A profound silence fell over the command room.

The more empathetic Cool Dragon team glanced at the monster eggs on the screen, feeling reluctant but offering no opposition.

War was merciless; softness had no place in war.

Jo Tetsu looked at Tsutsumi. “Director Tsutsumi, the electromagnetic waves from this Gob factory disrupt communications.”

“The Cool Dragon team has better coordination. Let them lead the main assault.”

“Understood.” Tsutsumi pondered briefly before addressing the Cool Dragon trio. “Your mission is crucial this time. Any issues?”

“No problems!” The three from Inagi saluted Tsutsumi.

They discreetly exchanged glances with Jo Tetsu, silently acknowledging that the formidable scientist had seen through their secret.

Tsutsumi arranged the tactics.

“The target is the Gob factory, now designated ‘Vasset.’”

“Since communication is disrupted, use tactical hand signals during the attack.”

“The Cool Dragon team will attack the front; Lightning and Falcon teams will strike the flanks!”

“The mission’s priority is to detonate the enemy in outer space!”

As Tsutsumi outlined the plan, the three teams stood at attention and saluted.

“Understood!” they chorused.

Ishimuro surveyed the teams with a stern expression. “All units, deploy!”
